Mike works for Ford and has put up a few shots on IG. I don't spend much time on that platform but I do check to see what he's been up to. He doesn't share much information (no doubt he cannot) but you can at least catch a few glimpses that Ford corporate has yet to share...

Mike has posted a few shots of the swing spoiler with Gurney flap attached. Best I can tell is this combination will be shared between the GT350 and the GT500. Here's a few GT350 shots he posted with this combination...

And a couple that allow comparison to an R model wing..

So sexy, I want one too ;)

Its a race car. Ford built a race car. For the track. If the owner of the race car wants to go grocery shopping with the big wang an all then how is this Fords problem? They built a race car for the track. Not a race car to go get baby formula.
Its not even remotely a race car lol... Its a STREET car that does good on the track. The 350-rc is a race car

Some see the ugly at inception. Some don't see it for decades, if ever.

There you have it. The GT500 CF Track Package was intended to allow the car to be a track beast (fastest track Mustang to date from the factory) and the wing works in concert with the rest of the car to make it so. And you can still putter around your local C&C if you so please.

Its a race car. Ford built a race car. For the track. If the owner of the race car wants to go grocery shopping with the big wang an all then how is this Fords problem? They built a race car for the track. Not a race car to go get baby formula.

It's a street legal car that meets current Federal/CARB emissions standards, meets current crash and safety standards for a car to be used on the street, and comes with a warranty in place that allows for repairs at a local Ford dealer. The GT4 Mustang is a race car, not the 2020 GT500 lol. Can you take it to the track and haul some serious ass? You betcha. But it is not a GT4 or a FP350S by any stretch of the imagination.

And again, theft can occur anywhere. If your CF wing and CF wheels were taken while the car was parked in your driveway would you still be talking about baby formula? The wing hardware can be removed in seconds. Security hardware would at least slow things down but it would seem Ford has little interest in that. Seriously, the wing fasteners can be put in two different locations. How often do you think you'd be adjusting your wing or would it be a one time thing and forget it? At that point, wouldn't you think it prudent to protect what is likely a 10k+ wing from disappearing from your car?

I am happy this thread has already shown my preferred color. This Blue looks awesome! I prefer this version with the smaller spoiler (though if you are reading these posts FoMoCo, I would REALLY prefer the option for the 350R Blade for aesthetic purposes)

Just trying to understand this better as I'm tired of hearing it. So the GT4 wing is "rice" when mounted low and on a GT500 but isn't rice when it's up on the air and mounted on an actual GT4 car?

I do understand why people dont like the wing for a street car and aesthetics but trying to get people to understand that it serves a purpose and is not a mandatory option when buying the car is 100% impossible to teach to some people.
