98svt.. Engine looks awesome man. I do approve! ha

I do use the major social media platforms. But most of it is browsing and such. I only post car stuff on IG now. But the last time i posted was 4 months ago? Talking to people on car groups is a damn joke. I cant take it.

The way of the forums is so much better and I wish people would understand that lol

Hi Shifty. Good to see you still active on here.

They are fixing the rot on the frame rail up front now.

Maybe he is thinking of Casper? Not sure he had a KB though.

I've been around for some time. My car is white, and I had a KB for many many years, so maybe it was me. Back in the day it seemed as there were only a hand full of us with KB's on this site. I mostly lurk anymore as I don't have much to say these days.

And OP, I for sure remember your car, and I REALLY enjoy seeing these build threads. Please keep the updates coming. These threads are kind of a walk down memory lane for myself, as I recall my own progress (all be it slow at times) through the years. Maybe one of these days I will start a build thread of my own, but I'm going on my 17th year of ownership with my car, so I'm sure I won't be able to recall even half of what I've done to it over the years.

Hoping to have an update in the next week or 2. The owner of the shop was /is going through some health issues.

98 svt I remember you and your Cobra coupe from way back. Mainly because I have a 98 vert also in Laser Red. Oddly enough I’m knee deep in the middle of the final upgrade projects planned for this car. Installation of a full MM K-member and front suspension package and build up of the engine. Stock K-member and suspension are out. And just started unpacking and laying out the new MM components tonight.
The engine is ready for reassembly with new forged internals. Heads are done, block machining is done and the rotating assembly balanced. So I’m with you, anticipation is building! Good luck with your project!

I remember your Cobra from back in the day as well, it's good to see it getting back on the road. I've had my 97 in storage for a while, and I'm finally getting ready to get it out. I need to have my T-45 fixed, I have the 1st to 2nd grind. So I'm in the process of figuring out the best way to get in fixed.

I had the same issue with my T45, it ended up getting to the point where it would pop out of 2nd if I tried to put it in at lower RPMs. A rebuild from a local shop was $500 (rebuild only, but removal/install/rebuild). That was also in the late 2000s.
