So I'm just confirming here because there's so much false information on all the products when it comes to 6 CD changers and mach 1000. It definitely works.... listening to Dierks Bentley as we speak. The product utilizes your factory radio and supplies harnesses for a straight plug & play, absolutely no cutting. Plug in 4 connectors and read the directions (nobody does, you should). It's a non modulator box that has 2 RCA connections (Android), Ipod + charging option. So yea this is awesome. Oh yea you get to keep all your factory radio options. Exact part # and product name in pic below. You can pick it up on Amazon for $130. Enjoy

Great thread!! I’ve been debating on whether to drop my DVD and go back to factory, this seals the deal on that thought.
Two questions. are the cables included and what type of connector is used for an Apple device? Can you use the android cable or would you need to grab a lighting adapter?

Apple product is a standard size ipod connection, not a smart phone USB. The Android (or anything else) is used via RCA inlets, you just need to get a cable for the rca. As for what's in the box, all the harnesses required to plug & Play as well as the ipod connection.

I'm using the android setup and had to lower my Pandora volume bc it was too loud. Night and day difference compared to a Bluetooth receiver

I ran one of the old PIE adapters with my Mach 1000 HU years ago. It did it's job but a newer HU is so much better with all of the updated capabilities.

OP, could you clarify if you have an 03 or 04 Terminator? the Mach head units are different between the two years and some of these devices have good reviews for one model year and not the other. From your pictures i spotted Parchment seats, so im pretty sure you have an 03 but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks

I’ve had this setup for a while but I think I’m ready for a touchscreen and Bluetooth audio.

Interesting

So is there an AUX jack that you plug into?

OP can you post a pic of the finished product?

Finish product is just a RCA cable to any aux plug. So a cable running out of my glove box that plugs into my Samsung Galaxy . You can easily go with an aftermarket deck I just prefer the clean stock look.

For those wanting a cheaper option that has clear sound, I use a bluetooth adapter into my cigarette lighter with FM modulator. Super clean, definitely not like it used to be. Allows for my iPhone to work with my radio with no cables to run anywhere and I don't have to have a separate iPod (don't even have one of those anymore) and keeps up with my current music library, etc. And place phone calls with it.

It's not super clean. If you used one of these modulators you quickly see the drawbacks in quality of the sound and method. It's a good halfway point but if you desire better, you'll toss that FM frequency junk.
