Non-compliant licenses being insufficient for domestic air travel was in the news a few years ago. I remember when I last renewed my driver's license I opted for a compliant license for that very reason. It's all about air travel security. I'm all for it. I usually carry my passport as well when I fly.

Eh, it's time to get a new SC drivers license anyways. Just like most things in this state, the laminators are the DMV are defective and my 1 year old drivers license is trashed already.

I just got my Real ID as my license was due for renewal anyway plus I have my passport.

If I have the choice I'd rather road trip anyway since I'm not a fan of flying or having some scumbag put his hands on my wife.

If you don't like the fondling session, just go through the body scanners. They recently changed the HMI graphics to only show pass/fail and general areas of suspect items instead of the raw naked pictures of people. It's not like they store those pictures. I mean, they don't right? No, our government wouldn't do that. Surely not.

(I don't know for sure if they store the images, but data acquisition over SCADA is extremely common. However, there is nothing linking your name/ID to the scanned image due to the way TSA handles those lines. The only way they could link you to an image is if facial recognition systems are working in the background, and at that point, why?)

I just use my passport, the great state of Pennsylvania doesn't go to the new ID's until sometime in 2020

I just got my new IL DL in Feb and it doesn't meet the requirements. My passport is expired but looks like I'll be getting it renewed and global entry instead of a new DL.

I've carried either my full passport (for international travel) or the passport card (for CONUS & Canada/Mexico travel) for a while now. Those of you in these states will need to get something better than your state issued drivers licence...
