Tread life questions for Mickey Thompsons

My Nitto NT555R tires have worn out and I'm thinking about going with MT ET Street SS tires or ET Street R tires.
I have a couple questions
1. Does anybody have any input on how long either of them last mileage wise?
2. I drive the car on the street 90% of the time, so which tire would be better for me? I take my car to the track once in a while and do highway pulls as well.

About 5k. For the street the SS, but also look at Toyo Proxes TQ. Do great in the rain. Have got about 1200 miles on them and still look brand new.

I'm a huge fan of the s/s.

I usually end up having to replace them after 2 years. (4-6k miles)

Same here, 5-6k miles before they needed replaced. I've had both the S/S and Street R, IMO I felt the S/S performed better on the street and the Street R performed better at the track. They wont take the turns like a 555R, and they are terrible in the rain...... but the grip on dry is fantastic.

I got about 5k on my last set of ET Street SS tires. No burn outs or anything(i have drag wheels for that) just spirited driving and short pulls.

The SS's had bad reviews when they first came out. When compared to the Pro and the R. But is the same r2 compound as both mentioned.

The SS would be better for day to day. And probably get more street miles on the SS's do to the thread design. I have the R's, with 1500 street miles and probably get another 1000-1500 miles out of them.

I have SS (275/50/15) with 2k on them, mostly street miles and about 6 passes at the track still have plenty of life left, probably get about 5k on them.
