I’m looking at a 13/14 GT500 purchase, what’s the preference out there for seats? Standard or Optional Recaro? I’ve seen positive and negative comments for both. Thanks
Recaros FTW unless you’re fat.I’m looking at a 13/14 GT500 purchase, what’s the preference out there for seats? Standard or Optional Recaro? I’ve seen positive and negative comments for both. Thanks
I can wrap my head around their Recaro comments and the FRONT Brembos are nice. As much as I like my car and front brakes do most of the work, I hate the fact that Ford put V6 brakes on the rear of our cars and offered the fronts only in black. Mopar/Chebby/Euro/Italia guys have had better (rear) brakes and color options for years! When Mopar/Chebby/Euro/Italia guys check out my car, the most common type of comments are "Oh I love the Recaros and the Brembos...". The nice non-Ford equipment gets plenty of love from outsiders...
Agree with what others have said - Recaros FTW, as long as you're not too wide for them.
On an unrelated note...

The previous owner (friend) was a heavier gentleman and there’s definitely some wearing on the bolster- in fact it’s the only interior area that shows wear for bieng DD to 60,000 miles. So something to think about it does wear.In summary if you’re fat don’t get the Recaro's.
