FR500 Engine

Asking $10,500.

So this is something unique that I came across several years back. I picked it up with the intention of doing an SN-95 build, but life got in the way and I never got around to it. I'd still like to find a project for it, but I'd be nearly as happy just seeing someone do something interesting with it.

I was told this has essentially no time on it. It was basically used for testing and then stored away. At the time these engines were only available to race teams. I picked it up and stored it away for a couple years, fast forward to now.

As far as I know, the engine is complete except for the ECU. Pretty much any modular ECU should work, but a Holley Dominator system would be my choice. The intake it new in the box with new gaskets and fuel rails. I also have the ultra hard to find water neck. This thing is a piece of history on top of being a nasty N/A mill. Here is some info from the original catalog ad:

WOW! Great piece of history, sadly times change so quickly nowadays and a regular NA Coyote pushes more HP; I would love that intake.

Still available?

Yep.

So I've heard that with tuning, a little cam adjustment, short bells in the intake (3D printing could allow some real tricks here), and no restrictors; that this engine should be in the 500HP range. It will also live at high RPM far longer than any current engine.

I'm curious as to the letters NFG on the coolant tubes... :-(
