It was a 3 hour mess... I'll avoid any specifics or significant spoilers but give some details as to why I feel this way.
- The first hour was simply depressing; I get that they wanted the audience to feel the emotional pain of the survivors but there wasn't enough emotional upswing to balance the negativity.
- I think Captain America, his story, and Comic Book Easter Eggs, were probably the best part of the movie, but I also think it cheapens/lessens the others because his story is so well done and almost everyone else pales in comparison (other than Hawkeye... his is a close second to Captain America).
- I'm not sure what their motivation with Thor was but I strongly disagree with how they portrayed him... If you are a die hard Thor fan you will probably be pissed.
- I don't like what they did with Iron Man... it was recycled from the first Avengers movie and Black Widow already stole his emotional thunder.
- The Hulk was just wasted potential
- They absolutely touched on several SJW areas just not as overtly as they did in The Last Jedi... the problem with putting politics into a movie is the story often suffers or feels off. In this case it's just obvious what they are doing with no benefit to the story i.e. token xyz.
- The comedy scenes were funny but several just seemed out of place and/or unnecessary... Very Minor Spoiler... the Hulk photo scene where Ant-Man is jealous - like this is what people would care about post dusting.
- The final battle was well done but it could/should have been longer and/or broken up in to several battles placed earlier in the film to break up some of the monotony. I was left feeling like I didn't get enough of this hero vs. that villain and wanting a little more sweet revenge... Minor Spoiler - Captain Marvel showed how powerful she is but the amount of destruction and butt kicking she did would have been more fulfilling/satisfying coming from one of the original Avengers as they are the ones who have a vested interest in seeking justice or revenge.

yes there absolutely was a moment of feminist propaganda, towards the end there a random moment where literally every women character team up and fight. It wasnt a bad seen but just kinda overly pushing the agenda IMO as it was fairly random. She specifically doesnt ruin the movie in any way though, as she is barely in it.
Felt the same way about that one scene. I literally said out loud “really?” Like they made it a point to put a dab of feminist BS in there.

Saw it. Loved it. Overlooking small flaws... I'll miss this phase of the MCU. What they've done over the last 11 years is nothing short of astounding.... bringing these stories to the movies and weaving it together over this many movies is an amazing feat. Sure some things could have been better but the whole is incredible imho.

Thinking about it kind of makes me wish they would have done the same with Lord of the Rings instead of doing a trilogy. That could have been epic if they had followed the same strategy Marvel did.

the more and more I watch the movie and really think about it, the more I realize how many flaws there are behind most of the main plot, I was still a good movie but infinity war was done better imo.... time travel movie are just too difficult.

Decent movie. Thor and Hulk were absolutely ruined. Ruffalo was the worst cast actor in this whole story arc.

I thought it was pretty decent for what they had to accomplish. With what Cap did there at the end left the entire thing open for just about anything to occur in a new multiverse story line. I liked it though.

I actually thought what they did with thor was really funny. And they stuck through with it through the whole movie.

Now still not having wolverine was another fail. But then again if you never read comics back in the day you would have never even known.

I guess there was an Easter egg on the wall of the vanished where a few X Men were named on it. With how they ended it with what Captain America did it allows all the other characters from Marvel to enter the universe now. So we can see Deadpool and the X Men enter possibly, but we could also see much more powerful character enter that make Thanos look weak.

saw it today...

it was good but not great, nowhere near on the level of infinity war or even the 1st avengers movie.

the first half of the movie was too slow, lots of drama and filler. Was this supposed to be days of our lives or a superhero movie? Time travel was a cheesy, cheap trick the writers used as a get out of jail free card. Plenty of plot holes and inconsistencies.

final battle was awesome but didnt make up for the rest of the movie. Captain pancake butt was waaayyy too overpowered. (^_^) At one point she brought thanos to his knees even while he had all 6 stones.

cap wielding mjolnir was cool an unexpected, hulk was not used in the final battle at all which was a huge disappointment

Loving my 300 shares of Disney stock right now that I bought years ago at $36/share.

Looking forward to see what it opens and closes at tomorrow, and the end of the week.

Saw it yesterday, I personally thought it was awesome. I didn't worry about the little flaws in movie. The story, the fight scenes and the ending was great.

Best part was Cap picking up the hammer and Thor saying " I knew it!" I too hated the plot holes but it was entertaining though they could have condensed it quite a bit and still had the same exact effect.

To the people crying about the female heroes having their scene in the final battle, you sound like you have a big dump in your pants. There's absolutely nothing wrong with putting that in there so the little girls in the audience have a hero or heroes they can look up to just like the boys have. Lets not forget these movies are for kids. A five second scene is not a big deal. "Feminist agenda" give me a ****ing break.

The only thing I didn't like about the movie was Professor Hulk, just seemed weird. I hated what they did to Thor but the more I think back on it, the more I realize they are not done with that character yet. He'll achieve full redemption in his next movie or movies.

WITH THAT MANY MOVIES, THERE WILL BE SOME PLOT HOLES!!! But, for me, it was great! Everything tied up pretty good at the end and I left satisfied with a killer story! Really enjoyed Hawkeye and Black Widows scene! Opening scene brought us all that feeling of pain so many suffered. Yes, there were slow spots, but it built and delivered at the end.

Plot holes, yes, but the time traveling aspect is important for setting up all of the following movies to come. It wasn't utilized just to pull this movie together, they need to implement it in order to introduce the plethora of other characters that are sure to come from other universes now.

Dont get caught up on Thanos getting beat while having the gauntlet and stones. With him in that form he is still on the very low end of most powerful characters in the Marvel universe. There are tons of other characters in the universe, like The Living Tribunal for example, that if he faced they could shut him down with the stones with little to no effort. Or if Dormamu had showed up he could have wiped out Thanos and everyone else easily. He was a major threat to the universe because he just happened to wipe out half of life, but he isn't that strong overall so Captain Marvel is just the tip of the iceberg of characters that could take him on. What I thought was odd was that he was able to take on Cap, Ironman, and Thor and beat them up pretty bad without any stones at all.

To the people crying about the female heroes having their scene in the final battle, you sound like you have a big dump in your pants. I hate feminist BS as much as anyone else and that part didn't bother me at all. It didn't seem like an out of place scene or something that we haven't seen done in movies going way back. The part I thought that they pushed an agenda more than anything was the therapy session where the guy was talking about going on a date with another guy. Not that it is abnormal to see now but that whole scene seemed like it was there just to push that.
