Lawn Mower Is Not Cooperating

I have a Husqvarna YTH 22V48 that leaves a gap of uncut grass on every pass. This means I have to run over the same spot twice to knock down the standing row that looks like a landscape mohawk.

The deck is leveled, and the front of the deck has been dropped about 1/8" lower than the rear as instructed.

The blades are the OEM blades.

Can someone tell me what I might be missing, and what I need to check? I'm not a small engine tech, and when it comes to mowers I am limited on knowledge.

Always done it? Stupid question but you've verified both blades are the correct length?

Yea, I've had this problem with my craftsman some years back and never found a fix for it. Ended up buying a brand new one.

I would try to sharpen the blades or replace them.

I had a similar issue and new blades fixed it.

My snapper LT16 is 34 years old, the engine is a little weak but it mowes pretty good, i just keep sharpening the blades making sure they stay balanced, an uneven pattern suggest there may be something wound up on a blade or a wad of something up under the deck. You could have broken a blade but I think you would have noticed that right away.

You might want to check the spindles, if the bearings or the spindle bolts are loose you could be getting some wobble in the blade-s

I didn't think of that. It could be a slight bend that I'm not paying attention to.

Well, time to replace the blades.

I have a husquvarna and when ever the blades get damaged they leave a gap. Very common for them to get bent or break off so that they are not cutting.

Sharpen or replace the blades as previously suggested. The only other possible issue would be that someone installed one or both blades that are not the right sizes.
