As the title says, looking for an 08-09 gt500. Preferably vista blue but not too picky. Less than 80k miles. I’m located in East TN. Closer the better but will travel for a good deal. $25,000 budget. No more.

2008 Shelby GTG500. 57k miles. $25k is about right.

For just a few thousand more you could buy my 09 With 7K miles, Whipple 2.9, American Racing long tubes and exhaust, Etc. Car is close to flawless and makes 730 rwhp courtesy of AED.

OP you need to seriously consider this. Hell of a deal.

Gorgeous! Looks identical to my 6k mile '07 virgin i brought home 2 years ago before i turned her into a 650whp beast.

Modified cars do not hold their resale value as well as stock. Modifiied engines have a shorter life span also.

Bull on both counts. Says who? All dramatically depends on how the car was built and taken care of. A well built Whippled GT500 with comprehensive upgrades can easily demand a slight premium over a stock one. And regarding the life span of the motors, I personally know of multiple gen 1 coyote cars with 120k+ miles making upwards of 650whp with stock short blocks and stock MT82’s with zero issues. ThatDudeInBlue is a perfect example. I think his car has 130k plus now, no problems. Plenty of Cobra’s out there with 100k+ that are fairly reliable. And heck, my Vortech 2V had 142k miles on it when I sold it - supercharged for 60k of it - and while it went through two T3650’s, the motor ran like a top. These 5.4’s are bullet proof motors and can handle a lot of power reliably and consistently for a long time.

i call bs too on the modified cars, I work for a dealer and everytime one coms through and has any sort of list with receipts those cars always bring more money. plus the fact that every other post on here guys are looking for cars with mods. I have built a lot of fox bodies and I have gotten to the point of if I am gonna build it why not buy the car done with the mods as close to what I was going to do. That way the owner selling the car already put most of the money into the car, but if your going to go that way I always make sure the seller has receipt for the mods. I bought my cobra with 90 percent of the receipt for all the mods and pics of them being done, also all of the dyno sheets and owners manuals for super charger and more.

As long as the engine has never been opened up, and it’s just bolt ons.... a whipple or kenne bell supercharger is considered a bolt on..... they will 100% keep their reliability and will
Not blow up as long as they were taken care of, and have a proper tune.... like a tune from tony from tuners Inc in northern Florida.... that dude knows what he’s doing. Also, if you want it to really be reliable, you don’t want a car with more than 765whp on pump gas 93, and more than like 850whp on e85. As for resale..... like somebody else stated, most people want a car that has the parts they were going to do to it anyways already on it. You’ll save a bunch of money even tho you might pay a little bit more than the same exact car without those parts, but in the long run you’re saving yourself money cause you won’t have to buy those parts... also this is especially true with Gt500’s... since were not talking about a Ford Taurus here or Ford Explorer or whatever. You get my point. You may pay 3/4K extra for a car with a kenne bell or whipple blower.... but you’ll have a car with over 700hp.... and you won’t have to add it yourself which is like 10gs with major supporting mods if you wanna do it right plus all the little supporting mods and other bolt Ons, and that’s just for the engine.... most likely those cars will have all the suspension stuff for the anti hop and driveshaft and what not. Just make sure the car is low mileage and mint and the fuse box/ wiring harness has never been ****ed with or moved and you won’t have an issue.

There’s a low mile modded 07 on Craigslist in Tulsa that looks nice in the ad. Been there a few weeks. If I hadn’t bought my 08 last year I would own this one from the looks of it.
I do NOT know the car or owner so I’m not vouching for anything and it doesn’t list a clutch upgrade so..... title has it at 29.5 but the price in the text is 28.5

I bought mine w/ 32k miles last year for 27.5 stock except for exhaust and clutch so the price seems reasonable.
