One of the driving forces for me to look at purchasing a slightly used Tesla Model S.

E85 is nice. But the fuel economy is lower. But the added power is well worth it. Also were pretty lucky in ca there are a lot of E85 stations

fuel economy is lower but maybe 1-2 mpg less? either way it's 1 dollar less per gallon and that is huge

Not sure what car you plan to put it on but if its a performance car then expect 3-4mpg drop

I have always seen a 20% drop in highway mileage. Don't really pay too much attention to any other mileage, since there can be a ton variables. But I dont have to mess with my timing for those instances when I use the 175 shot. So worth it.

I'm not sure if it's the same way but when I worked at VMP they wouldn't do business with anyone in California because the EPA

It's cheaper, safer and allows for more power, although the benefits may not be as recognized with an NA 5.0. Also consider with the fuel economy hit, depending on your driving style and distances, between the more commonplace refueling and the cost of a new tune, it may take awhile to recognize the savings that eventually you'll see.

You mean CARB as the EPA is a Federal agency not a state one.

But yes I'm seeing more and more self imposed Cali embargo's from vehicle and gun mfg's and sellers on a daily basis when it comes to totally out of touch California.

No I'm pretty sure it was EPA. Hence why VMP no longer turns off CEL for certain things. Also I don't think you can find anything catless on their site anymore. California just got the boot because it causes the most problems.

No, the CARB is the board of **** tards that make all the retarded laws: no intakes, longtubes, catless, blah blah blah. I've received tunes from VMP before. That would be really lame if they don't do it for CA anymore...PS there is no way for a cop to know you are running a tune and e85 =) so suck on that commiefornia

well....16 gallons of 91 would be roughly $ 70, e85 would be 48, so savings of $22...that's about 30% saving. BUT then you have the MPG factor.

I wish we had E85 more available out here, but we don't.
There are minimal spots that carry it and you have to travel aways to get it. Too bad.
