Question about stock suspension

I’m currently looking to buy an 03 coupe. Car is making over 600whp on a VMP setup and bone stock suspension. The car has pretty low miles, but is there any reason for concern about a car making that kind of power without subframe connectors or any other suspension upgrade? I haven’t owned one yet so I appreciate the input. Thanks.

If it's in good shape stock suspension wouldn't be a deal killer for me. Just know at the very least you'll want the subframe connectors soon if you pick it up.

Ok, thanks. Other than sacrificing handling and general “feel”, is there a point you can cause permanent damage to the car without doing the subframes?

I'm sure there's a point where you could cause some damage. But I'd imagine it's at a power level well beyond what most of us will ever see. I do remember I had weird crease on the passenger side quarter panel running from about the middle of the wheel arch up towards the trunk lid. I did have subframe connectors on it, but they were cheap and flimsy. I figured the sticky tires and high power caused it.

My only other thought about subframe connectors is how much they help keep things together. When I bought my 01 it had about 50k on the clock and I put subframes on it right away. When I bought my 04 it had 97k and no subframe connectors. The interior in the 04 seems more buzzy than my 01 ever was. It could just be how the car was taken care of. But I think the flexing over the years had something to do with it.
