I dont think the S types sound BAD they aren't bad I just like a little more volume and if the Corsas are 0 drone then they should be perfect. If not ill be on the hunt again lol I was going to go with them instead of the S types which I should have done but oh well. Only my 6th exhaust setup.............a guy from this board who is a friend says I'm like a female with my exhaust and I always complain lol and should stop bitching like a woman about my exhaust.

Nice!!! Since this is sold as a GT axle back do any modifications need to be done to connect them to the rest of the exhaust? Or is it a direct bolt on? Really leaning towards this system. Thank you!
They bolt up with no modifications, for the money they're a great.

I liked my S types with otherwise stock exhaust, Put an O/R H pipe on and hated the S types then, too raspy over 2K imo.So I went back to stock mufflers (with the O/R H) which for as much as people rave about that combo, I hated that as well, too quiet and has like no tone to it.

Hey guys, bringing this back up again. I just bought the Corsa Extreme axle back and the OR X pipe. The x pipe hasnt come in yet but its says its a cut and clamp style. Did this fit in behind the catalytic converters? Corsa doesnt seem to make a pipe thats a direct bolt up to stock headers and axle back. Any ideas? Thanks!

Is this the one you bought?

You'll have to take it to an exhaust shop and have the factory H-pipe cut out. It shouldn't be too hard.

If you want to delete your cats. You'll need a X-pipe like this one.

But you might like the sound of the corsa xtremes with cats. They're loud as hell.

You’re talking to a guy who has literally tried more exhaust on these cars than anyone (@2011 gtcs ) and he’s correct that Corsa extremes on a catless system isn’t necessarily good loud.
My car was too loud and I welded stock mufflers back in. I still made over 1000rwhp thru the stock mufflers so don’t think extreme loud is what makes power.

I’ve got Corsa Xtreme’s on my 13 GT500 with the stock H pipe. It comes with a resonator delete from the factory if memory serves me right? They’re decently loud under load for sure. I don’t hear much drone. I’d say leave it for now.

Well, I'm itching to try out the Corsa Extremes that are sitting in my garage right now. Maybe I'll put those on first and try it out while waiting for the x pipe to come in. It wont ship until March 30th. And the more I;m looking at these pipes, theres hardly any difference between the 2. Maybe not worth getting the x pipe? Save the $4xx for the Kooks headers....

No resonators on the axle back.

My car has cams, but this should give you an idea how loud they're with headers and no cats

Corsa extremes sound incredible with no cats at WOT. If you don’t like rasp, then driving around normally you’re going to get a lot of it around 2-3k rpm then again around 4.5-5k. I don’t mind it personally but it’s a LOT of rasp just be aware.
