I have read from different sites that this pedal-commander product can be a "hit-or-miss"....

Thinking about trying Livernois Motorsports version on my rides; figured theirs is more reliable & better engineered/designed like all their other performance parts.

One problem I see with the Livernois controller is the lowest setting is OEM. This means there is no way to desensitize the throttle, you can only make it more sensitive. The one thing I wanted was to soften the response in town and in stop and go traffic, I own a 2013 GT500 and throttle response is already over the top and I just wanted the ability to dial it back when needed. I can see were it may be a benefit for a GT350.

In full disclosure, I've never tried one. Maybe I don't realize what I'm missing. But I calibrate my foot based upon driving conditions.

I can see where "desensitizing" might be more valuable that custom curves, if the throttle is just too touchy for someone's taste.

My initial assessment was that this is a snake oil product. That it's marketed to people and makes them THINK it improves power in the vehicle when all it does is make the throttle voltage front loaded so the vehicle seems to be peppier.

I think for the people who know exactly what it is and what it does, it accomplishes its job nicely and wouldn't deserve the "snake oil" label. Yes, if someone misinterprets the function of it or if it is advertised as being something else (I never paid attention to how they market it, because i already knew exactly what it did/didn't do before I bought it), then I could agree with your statement above.

Agreed. It's an ergonomic mod. It doesn't help the car, but helps you to operate it better. It's very similar to a shifter upgrade or my clutch spring. Swapping out the clutch spring does nothing to help the drive train, but makes the car feel more consistent with other clutches I've used. I could have gotten used to the stock setup, but decided for $20 I'd just make it feel more like what I'm accustomed to.

If changing the accelerator profile helps a person drive better, so be it. I kinda feel like I'd rather have the accelerator AND the brake travel to be linear, so I can adjust/calibrate my input as the driver more easily. A guess a person could customize the brake feel too, to make it really grabby upon initial contact and less so at full stomp.

With the Voodoo and the power curve, it's probably removing a lot of the natural characteristic of the motor/accelerator. I like that the car is pedestrian for light input and wakes up when I want it to. But to each his own.

If you have a tune already, just ask your tuner to increase throttle response. Don't buy the PC if you already have the ability to have the throttle sensitivity increased. You will just be spending money to spend money.
