Wow... that's not good at all. You lose the whole motor or just the pump?
Most of the motor. Split the block down the center, #1/#5 both are rod-less, and the oil pump seized. Not sure what punched a whole through the pan though. The oil / metal mix turned into a mud lol. Oh and it bent two valves and something contacted the cam.

Was a junkyard short block I picked up from a mustang wrecking yard in Georgia. I got it right before Mustang Week 18, ran about 7 bottles at a 200 shot through it, and plenty of regular street miles. If I was guessing I'd say like 3500 miles. I got my money out of it.

Luckily the PTV contact was just that. It didnt damage anything else in the heads. So I cleaned them up and put new valves, springs, and seals in. Now they are going on a 351 I will hopefully have in before the weekend.

Crank as well. It dropped oil pressure and developed a low end knock. Same as the original engine.
I'm super paranoid with #3 now, and it's not even done yet.

Here's the block I replaced before Mustang Week 18. 19psi seemed to be too much for it.

Notice the main webbing and cap spit. Along with the crank. Lol

$72k CDN???
What do you have for an engine?
2016 AMG E63. That’s Canadian dolllars.
The Mercedes mechanic told me that s what it cost the last guy at their dealership that tuned his car and lost an engine. He said they sent the computer back to Germany where they were able to determine it had been tuned.
