CARB EO approved Whipple 2.9 Kit for my 08’ GT500.

New OR Used.

(** Currently weighing out my options at the easiest way to make 600+ rwhp efficiently while easily being able to pass emissions every 2 years with minor oem part switching**)

ALSO, considering porting my stock Eaton M122 IF it won’t affect passing emissions when re-flashing back to stock.
Anyone here gone down that path in CA?

I’m open to other options that will easily allow me to pass emissions.

GT500 currently has a 100% stock drivetrain.
14k mile car.

I’m being a stickler because I want to make 110% sure, but how can you prove the 13-14 TVS will pass CARB inspection?

It has 5.8 stamped on it.
Anyone here in CA try it before?
it will pass ....shoot me PM

Depends on your smog guy.

I have a ported Trinity TVS, 13/14 injectors, and the FRPP cold air, CJ TB and MAF with the CARB sticker.

What will make it or break it is your tune and tuner. Luckily mine passes all the OBD monitor tests as is.

You’re using a 13-14 Ported TVS on your 07’ GT500?

PM me..

Wow that really sucks to have to do all that to mod your car. I def feel for you guys.

Not to jack the thread but I see vids all the time of cars that are built and sound like they wouldn't pass stuff where I live which isn't hard to do. What do those guys do? And how are they driving them on the street in CA? Are their cars just automatically impounded when they are pulled over?

Is the exhaust crackdown really that bad to?

Cars are only impounded for 30 days for speed contest/recklessness.

CVC for 27151 and 27150 hasn’t changed in years. The consequences have and the “crackdown” is no worse than it was years prior.
Unless you’re running straight pipes, you’re not getting pulled over.

Becareful as the 13/14 tvs is not technically CA smog legel. It will pass but not all smog places will accept that.

The FRPP whipple 2.9 kit is Ca smog legel and so is the FRPP tvs 2.3 kit.

You sure they are? I thought I saw they weren’t CA compliant.
