I've found a few posts where guys modify the brackets to mount S550 seats in a S197. I could do that, but it seems kind of clunky. Has anyone has re-mounted the S550 seats on the actual S197 base frame? I know its do-able but I've not had the chance to see what the seats look like underneath.

I have really nice dual power seat bases, and considering the S550 Recaros since they are really nice.

Thanks.

anything can be done with enough willpower.

How far off are they? if you have/know a welder im sure you can get everything fixed up.

I remember reading a while ago that the S550 seats fit, you just need to make 90 degree brackets for the rear mounts. But the airbag will not work

For the cost and time I still think you're better off just grabbing the cheapest 13/14 set you can find, get them cleaned and wrapped. Sold my cloth 13/14 set for 1500 and picked up a leather set (slightly regret). Still thinking about having the heat pads installed in them... Deals pop up on Facebook marketplace/groups all the time. Saw a cloth Recaro set out of an 18 go for $700 though....
