Thought I'd share some progress pics, the mods at this point are the KB 2.1L Bosch 42 lbs Injectors, 255 Welbro, 98' cobra fuel rail, Kooks 3/4 length, Accufab SCTB96-98 throttle body, MMR rear head cooling mod, IAT mod post blower, Tuff Stuff 225 amp chrome Alt., and for now a BBK 03-04 Cobra CAI 1725.

I have a couple questions if someone might help me out. I'm going to buy a 90mm MAF, my question is. Should I buy the 2001 Lightning 90mm for $145 or a SCT BA-3000 for $230? is the SCT a better MAF?

Next question, is the blue tooth adapter you can plug into your obdII and then it sends all of the info to say a program like Torque Dashboard, is that type setup reliable?

Also, what gauges should I use, Boost, Engine temp, oil pressure??? What Brand do any of you all use? I think I can custom fit three 2" gauges into my center dash. Should I use mechanical or electric gauges? Obviously I will need a wide-band is there a big difference between brands?

I know this is a really stupid question but I haven't been able to figure out 100% if the wide-band sensor replaces the o2 sensor or do I add a bung 6" behind the o2 sensor? I keep thinking I figured it out only to read something else to cause me to question it again.

Thanks for any help offered.

seems like a pretty simple build. Thats once nice mn12 I'm partial to the platform being a supercoupe owner myself

being a stock bottom end high compression 4v be sure your tuner is well versed in tuning them. It is SIGNIFICANTLY different than an 03/04 cobra with low compression.

the ford 90mm lightning/cobra maf will work perfectly fine for what your doing. If you want the best you could get a PMAS hpx-e slot maf but its not really needed.

I would advise against the torque app and get a moates quarterhorse. You can kill 2 birds with 1 rifle as well since you use that for custom tuning as well.

3 gauges you should have would be boost oil pressure and wideband

get the aem digital wideband. yes you will need to add another bung for it. The stock narrowbands are required and are unaffected by the wideband.

give this a read it has a bunch of info that will help you out

if you need any help getting her tuned don't hesitate to reach out

Wow, great write up. I got about 3/4 through before I got sidetracked, thanks for the info. I will more than likely hit you up if I find myself lost in some aspect of the build. I'm lucky to have two good minds already helping but sometimes I get two different answers from each one and that's when I need anothers point of view :) Thanks again for the link.

Hard to do?

Sent from my SM-G892A using the svtperformance.com mobile app

I didn't personally do it, my health sucks to put it lightly. I'm very fortunate to have someone doing the wrenching for me. I found the article about repositioning the IAT and I passed it on to my guy, he taped it. I am very hands on with the build, I'm very particular about doing things so it difficult not being able to do the work myself. Unfortunately my wrencher has never done a twin screw blower before so we are kind of learning together.

Would he be willing to do mine?

Yeah I
Good looking car. I really like your progress so far. wish my kb was polished.
absolutely wanted the polished blower so only real option was to buy it new. As much as I wanted it, it wasn't easy letting that chunk of change go :)

what a sweet car!

That MN12 chassis was something else.
Is the car still AUTO? or Manual Swap?

It's still an auto but manual is a very real possibility :) There's a few Mark VIII's that have been switched, never driven one but hopefully I can afford to do it one day. I've loved these cars long before I could afford one but I finally got my first one in 1999 and haven't looked back :) Here are some pics of my other Mark VIII's.
