Is this the 1000+ rwhp car I remember from a while back with crazy vids of lighting up the tires at 100mph? I also remember a daughter with a modded electric car with rubber bands on the wheels to aid with traction? Are you the same guy?

Killer collection by the way. Congrats!

Yep that's me. LOL

Quick update.
Too
My nephew is the Star Speedway Power Wheels champ, 2 years running.
Should we set up a race for pink slips?
Haha. Unfortunately we no longer have the power wheels as I gave it away when my daughter got to tall to fit into it.

Quick update on the TTSaleen.
Took the family to dinner in it on Saturday night.

Then on Sunday, I put on my Bogarts and Hoosier slicks and went to the track.
Got my best times so far under less than ideal conditions.
Car setup -
93 octane
17.5# boost
Only stalls at 3200 on transbrake so it leaves really soft.
1st pass - 1.58 sixty foot time and went a 6.13 @ 121mph. 1/4 mile sensors were not working unfortunately.
2nd pass - 1.47 sixty foot time, but spun badly in 2nd, pedaled it twice went a 6.61 @ only 112mph but still went a 9.98 @ 147mph in the 1/4.
I feel like on the 1st pass it could have gone mid 9's around 150-155mph.

Anyway, it was awesome to be back in my old car and on the track. I never built it to be a track car only a street car. It sure TWISTS up on the launch with only subframe connectors and no rollcage. LOL!!!!

So a winter update on the TTSaleen.
After that track outing in November, I found that on the 2nd pass I had broke the 4R70W.
So I pulled it and decided to update the car once again.

A quick call to Brett Lasala and now I have one of his billy-bad all Billet 6R80 transmissions now!
I installed it along with a new Circle D converter, Stifflers crossmember, Driveshaft shop 3.5" shaft, Lokar shifter, and US Shift Quick6 controller with Sport mode (manual shift) and transbrake option.

Car runs great and I'm putting some miles on it for the learning mode.
Haven't been to the track yet, but will soon.
Just gotta address some safety items first and then she'll be ready to hit the strip again!

How’s that quick shift working for you? I’ve heard mixed reviews on the controller. I have a 6R80 myself that I plan on installing on my 03 cobra but I need a controller. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

So far I like it. Easy install and setup. I just had to drill the hole in my floor a little bigger to get the connector thru (didn't want to pull the pins outta the connector), but I used the existing hole under the passenger side seat area - worked great.
The setup is not bad you just follow the instructions and go. I had to add the capacitor they supply for my speedometer to work and then I had to add their resistor for my Sport mode to work with the Lokar shifter. I haven't had much time to drive it lately and no where to really do any full-pulls yet, but that's coming very soon. LOL!
I would recommend the Quick6 especially compared to the alternative of trying to install a complete Coyote harness setup and custom tuning.

It just keeps getting better and better, Ryan. Sorry to hear your old 4R70W bit the dust, but that 6R80 will serve you well. Keep us posted. What a beast!

April 5, 2019 update -

Took off the Aeromotive fuel system that has been on the car since I built it in 2009.
Sumped 98 tank, #12 feed and #8 return lines.
Aeromotive Pro Series pump (replaced new last summer) and regulator.
New filters (summer 2018) both pre and post of the pump.
Black nylon braided lines.
Going to sell this as a complete kit for $850.

Currently switching the car over to a new Cobra (terminator) fuel tank from Glen's performance. Also added the Fore Innovations triple pump setup and fuel hat with PTFE stainless lines (#10 feed and #8 return) and regulator and their fuel pump controller.
This will support the horsepower of the car, allow me to run E85 and only run 1 pump for normal cruising and bring in the other 2 pumps when on boost.

Lastly, I received my Moser 33 spline axles this week with the 9" end conversion and bearings. Got a new Truetrac 33 spline differential coming and a new set of rear gears that will be going into my 98 rearend.
Taking it to Fastlane Motorsports to handle this upgrade soon.

Haven't updated this thread in a while.
Was trying to get the car ready for mustang week 2019, but the hurricane squashed those plans.

Got the car back together with the built 8.8 and checked the tune on the dyno.
At my normal street tune, it put down 900rwhp and turned up some it put down 1,000rwhp in the heat (heat soaked engine and around 100 degree shop temps).

Found a problem with my intake manifold. About 11 years ago, I had the intake modified to fit (navigator style modified to fit Ford GT heads) and the shop (in FL) used large amounts of epoxy to get the runners shaped and contoured to fit/flow like they wanted.
This worked fine until the epoxy started to pull away and crack/fall out and drop into the combustion chamber!
Luckily I was able to find/fix this before any major damage occurred.

Since then I installed Maximum Motorsports stainless rear brake lines and got a new set of Bogart RT 15x10 rear wheels (6.5" bs) with a 275 M/T ET Street Pro drag radial to try out on the car.
Had MacFab install new Beadlocks onto them and got the black and polished rings if I want to swap them. I have the polished style already on my 16" rears.
Just got them on over the weekend and no chance to take it to the track yet, but will very soon!

So here's the latest update -

The stupid Quick6 firmware update did NOT fix my ERROR problem during the burnout.
Upon my burnout, the car displayed OSS ERROR and transbrake would not work just like before. I had to turn off car and restart to clear the problem.

Next I am on the new 275 radials. These hook pretty good, but my car still twists so bad that it unloads the car and spins.
I really need to get a rollcage installed and a antiroll bar along with updated shocks/struts to help this thing out.

Lastly, I still have a problem with a flutter/surge at higher rpm. Gonna do a leakdown/compression check first but I think maybe my 11 year old valvesprings are weak.
Slowly trying to get this thing ironed out!
Went a best of 6.1 @ 117mph last night with a terrible 1.54 sixty foot time and the above issues on the lower boost (pump gas) tune up.

Sucks to hear about the quick 6. I want to do a 6r80 too but I've heard and seen numerous people having issue after issue with that controller.
