I understand 19/20mph is a big difference once you hit 200mph+. I'm simply saying that these guys are within the world record 1/2 mile trap speed, while not even trying to accomplish that goal.
Congrats to M2k, I have been watching that FGT for years now as they keep climbing the ladder, that Accufab 5.4 is impressive. I can't imagine how 300mph must feel.
I think with correct 1/2 mile gearing and on the right tire that car would do some insane speeds in the 1/2 mile, not to say 240 is slow lol. But I bet it would be close to 260.

This GT has had YEARS of development and testing and racing. Oh wait no, it has the stock 5.4 that came in it...It just hit the 300 mark, along with what other cars? For a car to claim the record and then use that to compare a completely unrelated vehicle not even in the conversation. Straight ****ing dumtarded.
New GT500 is even more of a letdown now hehehe.

The new FGT's 3.5L is about as similar to M2k's 5.4L as M2k's 5.4L is to a stock 5.4L.

I think we’d all chose V8 over V6 and, while the 3.5TT is impressive, many people would chose the early model GT just for the V8.
Non of that matters because Ford built the current GT to win LeMans for the 50th anniversary and the V6 allowed the best chance in their class. Obviously a good choice as they won.
So, no need to hate on the current GT, both are great continuations of the GT legacy.

That's is crazy , 300mph without any added aero . Ford did a great job developing this car
