Thanks for the feeback. I guess even movies have trailers ha ha.
I didn’t want to type out the video content figuring it would defeat the video itself- and after-all, this is the pics and video buffet. :)
I have a lot of viewers who enjoy watching the videos at length as entertainment and didn’t want to spoil it.

Cliff notes:
Although it was Ford’s practice to use cheap connecting rods for cost savings, The terminator ended up with very good forged connecting rods due to project completion time limits rather than what was wanted by Ford and their budget.

John Colletti applied what he learned from the terminator to the Ford GT supercar as well, and with how important the rods became to him under his time crunch, likely would have continued the trend on the GT500, but retired.

With the terminator, John was PROUD to say he was passing on a value of $10,000+ warranty to the customer at no charge.

Management at Ford changed, and the GT500 was released with a $10,000 higher price tag (coincidence?) now that the car was competing with the corvette.

with many people thinking the GT500 was to be as well built as the Ford GT supercar (assuming it to be the same 5.4L) and also much like the terminator (due to its reputation), some customers were disappointed to find the car received “crack powdered forged rods.” which is not quite the same strength as traditionally forged rods.

One step forward: 5.4L with 500hp
Step back: heavier car, same performance
Step back: higher cost
Step back: not as strong as expected

The GT500 is often compared as equal to the terminator and had a greater potential to become much, much better.

That’s my serving for the buffet. Probably took me 20 minutes to type and just as long to read as the video lol.
Thanks for the Cliff Notes, Danny. Much easier, at least for me. Took just over a minute to read your text, and my eyes could quickly jump up/down to re-read points made. Easier than that jumping around in a video. That's just me.

If I had the money I would by a 13/14 GT500. Since I don't a Terminator will suffice just fine.

IMO the 03/04 cobra started this horsepower wars again per say, the terminator has alot of soul/heart in it which I love. The gt 500 are awesome but for me its the terminator if I could only pick one.

I’ve got a thing for the S197 I (05-09), so naturally that has my choice. I wish the GT500 had IRS though. Terminators are great, but 07-09 GT500’s look better in my opinion. The Trinity looked pretty good too. Love the quad tip exhaust system. Pros and cons to both.

Pick your poison.

Owning both an 03 Cobra and 2013 GT500, I'll say the 2013 is definitely the better overall car. But it does have its shortcomings, specifically the weaker stock internals. My current TT Cobra may be fully built, but my first terminator I've owned 10 years ago made 624whp on stock bottom end, and I've always felt a lot more confident going full WOT on that car than I have on my current 2013.

I've seen your pair before. Do you miss the '11? Love the paint/stripes.

Got lucky, the new owner is a friend, moved from N.J. to SC, came back up & trailered it down to a new house he just bought. I get updates & pics of the changes he's made to the car.........( SC pics )

But I read that in a couple minutes vs sitting through a video. I tell musicians writing new songs, "less is more" almost every day. The same goes for editorials and blogs many times.

I appreciate a well produced video, but I don't always have the time, patience, or attention span to watch it.

13-14 gt500 for sure. As much as I love the way the new edges look.. They overall are cheap and drive shitty IMO. My wife has one with 40k miles on it and just feels like its going to fall apart. The 500 is like a caddy compared to it.

Had to be a little tough to let that one go. Looked great next to your '14 SGM.

I used to have a 2.9 whipple 03 and sold it for a 14 GT500. If you’re looking for raw “shit yourself” driving then hands down the terminator. But if you’re looking to listen to symphony music at 150mph+ sipping tea without batting an eye then the GT500 is your best bet. I absolutely miss my terminator and I’ll most likely end up getting another in the future. But you can’t beat the comfort and drivability of the GT500

I’d have to have the GT500. These days I’d say it’s a better bang for your buck. Newer, more power, and more room to make power. I love the terminator but around me they are over priced in my opinion.

Gt500, in stock form the Terminators have too much sway in the suspension, and the 4x4 kit.
