We live a couple mile out of town in a small subdivision. Our house is at the back, way back, nearly completely secluded. She first notice him as she left town, he was tailgating her and weaving back and forth. She turned into out driveway, mistake #1, and he followed. She pulled up to garage and he boxed her in, mistake #2. He walked up to the window and commented that he liked her music. She rolled her window down to talk to him, mistake #3. She kept car running, but had it in park, #4. Didn't get license, #5.

Called cops, they too are concerned but can't do anything as they have nothing.

Pissed. Worried. Start training tomorrow.

This worries me. It bothers me since I teach elementary school and know girls are a target. Do your best to teach her survival skills.

Wow that’s scary. Thank God she is ok. If you can, get a camera system and cover your driveway area. They are pretty cheap now a days and you might get a video of them cruising back by, tag number, etc. If it was random, might be in vain. If youve got a real danger or a stalker, priceless investment! Its sad we have to think like that in this day we live.

We talked. Don't drive in driveway, pull onto a neighbor yard and lay on horn, if boxed in leave it in reverse and ram the prick if needed, DON'T roll down the window, ...

I tried to get her to join taekwondo back in the day but didn't take, too bad cause anything is better then nothing. Things changed now.

Did she at least see the make/ model color of the car and what he looks like?

If he is a predator, he is a creature of habit. Go back into town with her around the same time of day ( may take a few days). Drive separately and see if she recognized the car/ guy. Get the plate # tell the police.

No reason to freak yet. it could just be some horny college dude, who saw a pretty girl and made a move. Tell her to keep her eyes open for him if he is a creep, he will turn up again.

Get your daughter a dashcam (front and rear)

That's sketchy as ****. I don't have kids but I would be watching that dashcam footage like:

Tactics and weapons training are great ideas, but it is best to avoid confrontation, if possible. If this situation happens again, it would be a good idea for her to call 911 and report it and continue driving in a populated area. She can provide updates as to her location until an officer arrives. She could also drive towards the police station.

Unfortunately, this guy now knows where she lives. As mentioned, cameras are a good idea. Also, it might be worth visiting the police station and talking with someone about doing random patrols in your neighborhood. Sure, you could call, but by going in person shows you have a real concern about the situation.

This. I had my friend's wife get into a similar situation. she has a CCW, but he did not think that she would pull on someone until it was too late. The next time the car followed her from work, she called 911, they set up a place for her to pull into. Police took down car and found it was members of a shoplifting ring that she was going to court against.

This sounds all too familiar. When me and the wife were just dating, she had some guy that did something similar to her and she reacted in the same way. I remember giving her the 3rd degree about how she shouldn't have talked to the guy and she was completely oblivious as to what could've happened.

We now have two girls of our own, and I hope this never happens to them because I don't know what I would do...
