I like this stuff and I am an old school polish/wax with a Porter Cable guy. I paid $15 on Amazon and it came with a $5 rebate on it. It was applied over Meguiar's ultimate wax that I put on over 4 months ago (there wasn't much left on the car).

The "base coat" process only added 15-20 minutes over a normal wash time.

Glad to hear you like it! I work at 3M and get plenty of Meguiar's stuff at a decent discount, but this hasn't made it on the list because it's so new. However, at $15 (possible $5 mail in rebate still going on I think) it's pretty inexpensive. Update the thread after some washes to let us know how it holds up.

I've heard a lot of people using this lately. I've been keeping my eye on some torture tests with it and I am impressed with how it seems to be working/holding up. I am not a fan of how you have to apply it, personally, but it definitely works. I've been thinking about picking some up though and seeing how long it lasts in real world conditions. I would like to compare it to P&S Beadmaker, especially for the price comparisons.

I've always like Meguiar's products. It's just the durability that's been an issue for me.

You are supposed to re-apply at every wash, so it isn't going to get any true durability testing. Compared to getting out the porter cable and spending 6 hours, this is cake.

So far this winter in NE Ohio I have been happy with Duragloss Rinseless Wash with Aquawax and Beadmaker. I never thought I would ever stop using Optimum no rinse and Opti-Seal for my regular wash routine but I made the switch and wont look back. Much better durability with my new maintenance routine on top of Collonite 845. Tryin the Duragloss on my interior starting today.

I got it for $10 after rebate and it took 15-20 minutes longer on my normal wash. I've had 3 people this week compliment the car. This is a value and ease-of-application product.

I could do far better with a buffer polish/wax, but that would take 6 hours.

A similar but easier product would be McKee's Hydro Blue Si02 that you could try. I have some coming today that I plan to use on my wheels, but may try it on the body once before my coating comes in.

I too picked up a bottle of this stuff last week, at Walmart for about $12, as well as the $5 rebate. Probably explains why only one bottle was left. Still, you can't beat that deal & I'm a long-time McGuire's fan.

Tried it on my wife's car after a bath and quick decon. Super easy application. I was amazed at the results. Glossy, smooth and shiny. Rained the next day and water just beaded off like nobody's business.

McKee's 37 makes a similar product for a few $$ more- really like the McKee's product line and will likely try that next.

I didn't find the wax at my local Walmart, but they rarely carry anything worth stopping in for. I have a local O'Reilly's that has the product though.

I'm looking forward to giving this a try.

I just have never been a fan of spray/wipe on, hose off products. No particular reason other than ever since I started waterless bucket washing back in my apartment days I just hardly ever bust the hose out. Started with Optimum no rinse wash and Finish Kare 425 during the dry.
One thing I do like about this stuff is that they tell you to wipe it on the first coat for even coverage. I feel that you should do this for every application tho, just never get a warm and fuzzy with complete coverage from a couple sprays and a hose blasting. Now its DG wash/wax, dry, spritz Bead Maker, wipe on, walk away. And I do this in my garage year round even when its below freezing out.

Try a Ceramic Coating, tons of DIY coatings out there. I am an IGL installer not far from you.

Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light or the Kamikaze collection will make your car look killer.

Which of the two is the most idiot friendly? I would take to a professional because you get what you pay and I pay myself nothing but there are no quality professionals around these parts.
