Coupe, 53k miles, near stock, no SVT Certificate in hand. What are you guys thoughts on the value of the car?

Apologies if this is not the right forum to post this. If not, can someone let me know where I can post this topic?

That isn't an awful lot to go on, but I would also say around $10,000 just judging off of the mileage and desirable color.

Here are some pics. I am in the market as a buyer and found this one for sale. Just unsure if my offer is a slap in the face or if it's reasonable.

Thanks guys in advance!

TBH, according to KBB, it's only worth 5700 on the high end. I recently bought a mystic 96 with 62k miles and it is MINT minus the leather being worn out on the driver side. I gave 7 for it. For shits n giggles I had a dealer quote me on trade in, they were only talking 2500 or so lol. To you and I, it's prolly worth it. If you have cash, it's up to you on what you're willing to pay for. If taking a small loan, up to your bank lol. Sometimes that's the best way is having your local banker tell you what's the most they'll cover for it. Even though I bought mine for 7K...you couldn't even offer me 15 for it!!! 11K is worth it, but if you look hard enough, you can get one almost same condition well under 10. Depends on how bad you want it and how bad they want to sell it.

He’s asking 11.5k. I offered 10k. Or do you guys think it warrants 11.5k
If your willing to pay 10k the its worth 10k. Seller thinks he can get 11.5k i personally think both prices are high. But looking at the pics car looks to be in good shape. So if the car fax is clean and there has never been any repaired accidents and the car runs great then 10k seems fair.

I passed on the car. Much rougher when I saw in person, and front bumper looks to have been replaced. Guy said he had it for 10+ years garaged. It looked like it sat outside and a coat of wax and armor were recently done to try and clean it up.

Thanks all.

Keep an eye on it, I suspect that price will drop precipitously.

Agreed. Lots of 96-98s out there with rough mileage on them at this point. Be selective and you will find a nice one. Other option is to resurect a rough example and clean it up / termi swap.
