Hello everyone. My name is Andrew. I recently picked up a 2014 Shelby GT500. I traded in my 2003 Cobra Terminator. I am in love with the 14 GT500 and I can't wait to start modding it. I make some videos on YouTube. Below is some video shots of the new car and the journey picking up the car.

I plan to do a lot with this car. I will be sure to update SVTP and my YouTube channel with the progression. I can tell you I already have a dyno appointment with VMP next week to baseline stock and then throw on a 2.4" Pulley, VMP 67mm Throttle Body, JLT 123mm Cold Air Intake, and a tune on the car. Shooting for 700rwhp. This is just to start things off. Also post photos of your lowered 13-14s. I am trying to decide between BMR, Eibach Sportlines, and H&R Springs.

Did you really trade your Cobra in, why not sell it here?

Edit: Good job on the video. And you were in Jax!

I had the Cobra listed for a little while both modded and returned to bolt on eaton car. I had a lot of tire kickers so I decided to start shopping dealerships. I ended up getting 25k out of it between selling the supercharger, built rear end, and 10th seats and I kept the fic1000s for the GT500, Mantic for the GT500, fuel system for my turbo 2v car, and a few other odds and ends. I got 19K in trade in which in FL saves on sales tax since I pay sales tax on $42,000-19,000 instead of sales tax on $42,000.

I have 305/35/20 MT Street SS ready for some 20" wheels when I decide which wheel to go with. I also have 17x10 Drag wheels with 28x11.5x17 MT ET Street R Bias Ply which should fit for drag. And I also have some 18x11 Forgestars with 315/40/18 NT05Rs mounted.

For gears I want to wait to settle on a power level then adjust for my liking.

Started watching once you starting looking for a Shelby as I will be this year. Cool on the upcoming mods, grab the big JLT 148 or the DD149 haha.

Sweet GT500, though that Cobra looked VERY nice as well. You'll have to share your driving impressions vs. the Cobra. Enjoy modding and driving her....the way she's meant to be driven. ;)

Your video the innercooler tank looks bone dry.... and I saw where you had the pump issues. Hopefully the car did not get the piss beat out of it a lot with both no coolant and a non-working pump.
Congrats on the purchase, these cars are on a whole other level from the terminator.

Very common intercooler pump wiring issue. Welcome to the club, I’m sure you have big plans. Good luck.

Congrats on snagging that good looking GT-500. Too bad that you and @COOL COBRA live so far away. Would be cool to see both cars side by side. His '13 is a stunner.

Congrats and cool video as well ! I can remember when I picked up my 13 GT500, cheeks hurt from smiling so much :). All the basic bolt ons like you mentioned will get you around 700 rear wheel. I also ported and polished my blower elbow which gave it the nice torque numbers. Im at 702 wheel/730 tq with pretty much what you have listed above for mods. Steeda Sport lowering springs dropped mine 2 in the rear and about an inch and a half in the front, no ride issues at all. Tires are a must ! A new hood wouldn't kill ya either, lol ! ENJOY IT !!

Came across your Youtube when I was looking for my 14. I think you bought that car a couple weeks after I bought my 14 from Audi here in Jax where you got yours. I looked at that car and really liked it but I'm just not a red car guy. I ended up with the Deep Impact car. Congrats!! I just finished my bolt ons as well. I added the Innovators West 15% OD balancer, VMP triple pass HE, JLT resonator delete, FRPP twin 65, UPR OR X-pipe, Metco idler pulley and tuned by Jon Lund via my nGauge. Made 705/717. HAVE to get a tire. These Sport SS are terrible for grip!
