Hey guys, looking at getting back into a mustang. Well, rather adding one. What can these cars handle SBE? I really only care to do bolt-on's but maybe a VMP Gen 3 in the future. I will take any color as long as it is Grabber Blue, so I do not mind having a 2010 because the others are rare.

How is drivability with bolt-on's?

Looking at the DD149 CAI/Whipple Monoblade/VMP Elbow/2.50 upper/10 or 15% lower. Upgraded injectors as well.

How do we make these cars efficient? Heat exchangers, OPG's?

Suspension-wise I have FRPP Relo Brackets, 302R LCA's, PHB, and K springs off of my Spec Iron 3v I am selling. Anything else? This car will be mostly street/show/maybe a little drag. My 6Z is my fun car, I just want my Shelby to be close to as fast.

If fuel mileage and drivability will suffer, I will go ahead with a VMP Gen 3 and send it haha. JK.

I have a 2010 grabber blue with white stripe. I've had it since 2011 when it got a vmp gen 1 with offroad x pipe and various axle backs since then. It was tuned at shelbyfest by justin from vmp and has no drivability issues at all. Made 640/640 at 17psi. These cars drive just like stock with quality tunes. As far as cooling I do have an upgraded heat exchanger with duel fans and it does stay away from timing being pulled for street use. Also I have added the mgw gen 2 shifter and roush lower control arms to help with shift lockouts and wheel hop. Just some examples of things I can speak for personally that are good starting points for mods.

Awesome, thank you for the information! I saw where VMP has a heat exchanger, I will find the cheapest one with good quality haha. 640 would be pretty good, even 700 would be sweet. I will also work on no wheel hop, my old Boss did it bad. What TB do you have?

Bring your vette down here on I-95, I'll show you how well a Shelby drives with "bolt ons". Straight line of course ;)

But seriously, here is my build that I did going from stock to 700 just recently.
It's the "basics"

You must of never met a full Hi-Ram Z on the street. I will give you a car and the hit lol. Cool! I will read through it. I am not wanting the car to shoot for the sky to try to outrun my Z but I just do not want to get in it and feel way slower than my Z. Not really buying for speed though, just fun.
