Tied up at work for two and a half days on a software update in a pc-based workstation that does 3D rendering and manipulations of xray images. It was supposed to take 3 hours.
I kept hitting snag after snag, got set back to square one three times, fought through every line of code in the program, it seemed.
Got it working. Called tech support to complain, told them what all I had to do, and they said, “Wait a minute ... you got it to work? HOW??? You weren't even supposed to get that update, it's a test only version for another account and we sent it out to find out where and how it failed.”
So I told them. And said I was going to get a plane ticket to Germany and find the developers. They said “You won’t have to. They're coming here to talk to you!”
