Here is a picture of the Cobra emblem on my flip-key.

When I got the car it came with two keys. Key #1 was a combo key and keyless entry button style. Key #2 was just a plain key, no keyless fob.

I bought a flip key fob that’s meant to work with Fords. Took the flip key to Lowe’s and they cut the key, then I used my two original keys to program the flip key. Then follow the keyless entry program procedure so the car recognized the flip key fob. Once I verified everything worked I epoxied the Shelby snake medalian onto the key.

So weird. All the flip keys say they’re only compatible with the key/separate fob combo, not the all in one.

So i got my keys from Ebay, stopped by Lowes and they told me they dont copy car keys that have a transponder. ??? I thought that was weird. Has anyone run into this problem? I obviously dont need it programmed, tried to explain that but they refused to copy the key from me. Where did you guys get your new keys cut?

Local locksmith or Walmart. You may have to remove the key blank from the transponder.
On my flip key you just remove the small split pin.

Find a number drill with the diameter you need and cut off a piece of the shaft and use it in place of the original pin. You can use Loctite or instant glue to hold it in place.

Find the diameter (as suggested by snoopy49) and go to any good hardware store and tell them you need a roll pin in that size.

You may need to use a dremel to cut down the length.

A gunsmith would have those pins too.

The diameter is around 1.7mm...not many drill bits are that size. Plus, the roll pin compresses to fit and keeps the key fit snug when inserted, preventing it from wobbling back and forth.
