The one at AMP is 15 minutes from my house. Pretty cool. Might have to check it out.
SCCA TNiA is designed for novice drivers and first timers, obviously in the correct "novice" group.
No, they no longer allow passengers. The coupon code works unlimitedly.
VIR will likely fill up quickly, so don't wait too long.
I disagree with you and the organizers in my region are extremely fast to flag anyone that violates a rule or move them down. There are numerous articles in magazines like Grassroots Motorsports that recommend this program. SCCA TNiA is designed for novice drivers and first timers, obviously in the correct "novice" group.
The Karts at AMP are a blast. I try to go once a year
In your experience with TNiA, how many sessions of in-car instruction do new drivers get, and then how do those drivers advance through the different run groups?
You running the 10sp or stick shift in you car @351stang? Im amazed the stock pads are working for you
Hey man, I get it. You have 12,000 miles on track. I'm sure everyone seems inexperienced to you. This program is designed to get inexperienced drivers on track safely, so eventually they can get to your level.
I replace the pads at 60% original thickness. The front pads lasted 8 track days and the rears will last 10ish.How many track days do they last?
It was two very simple questions, because honestly I don't know: How many sessions of in-car instruction do newbies receive, and what's the process for advancement through the levels?

You are placed according to experience.
The novice group has the following before going on a hot track:
1. Group discussion on the basics, safety.
2. Track lapping session with a pace car.
3. Download meetings after every session.
Advancement is based on experience (self assessment) and you may be moved up or down based on your performance on track.
