I blew a headgasket last October so I did a little build this winter, I have a 03 mach 1 that has been terminator swapped. I kept the stock shortblock which looked to be in great shape, and went to a junkyard and pulled a set of DC heads off of a Lincoln Aviator. I had the heads cleaned up and mildly ported, and added a set of Houston Performance blower cams with Livernois Motorsports springs. The specs include:

Duration 282/272
Valve lift: .474/.474
Centerlines: 114/114
LSA: 114
234/226 @ .050

Before the work the car made 563/544 with a 2.3 VMP on 20psi and a 110/93 mix. The car just recently made 629/554 to the wheels through the 4r70w at roughly the same boost level (20.5) and 20* of timing. I went from a 2.6 upper to a 2.8 upper and 2lb lower to keep the boost level where it was. It also has Kooks longtubes, and an Accufab throttle body. I ran a best of 10.44@130 last year, so hopefully all that will be enough to let me see some 9s!

What was the timing on the original combo? Were the headers and throttle body on the original set up as well?

very nice but with the TQ being so close I wouldn't expect much gains. Was it on the same dyno?

how does it feel compared to before?

Yup same dyno, top end is definitely improved. The power bands look much better than before and it pulls all the way to redline.

Nice! Good to know that 560 is good for mid 10's. I'm at 508 through an auto on my stock motor Mach with a Vortech at 11.6psi. Hoping for 10.90's out of it at full weight. Ran 11.37 two years ago at 452rwhp. Going to try to push the stock motor to 550rwhp if it survives the next track visit. Only on 13.75* of timing currently with E85. Crazy to see how much power low 8.5 compression kills.

You should definitely break into the 10s with that power level. 550 will be pushing it lol but with e85 and that low of timing it will probably survive for a little while. My limit now is my fuel system, I'm still returnless and just have twin Walbro 255s and a BAP.

I have the same fuel system but with - 8 line, and Fore hat. It'll probably max out around 660 through the auto on E85. My 60lb injectors are currently maxed at 508.
