I’m in the market for a 10-12 GT500 and found what seems to be a great deal. The car is a 2012 Grabber Blue Convertible with 19k miles and SVTPP and Recaros for $30k. I’m not huge on the soft top, but I don’t plan on keeping the car for more than around 2 years (mainly getting rid of the GT500 itch).

What do you guys think about that deal? Should I jump on it?

What deal? Unless I am missing something you didn't post the price or a link.

I just found out the car has an accident on the CarFax. Seller has paperwork for the repair and it was just a repainted front bumper and new stripes for it.

I’m just concerned about the resale when that time comes. I am having an issue with that currently trying to sell my car with an accident on the report.

Well it's gonna be a difficult sale for several reasons

- it's a vert
-it's not a 13-14
-accident report

And unless you give it away, SVTP is one of the last places I try and sell a car. But that's just me

Pass. Not because of the price or accident or anything. Dont buy it because its a convertible. If you dont want the vert, to not buy a vert.

If you have any desire to go to the track or mod for power find a coupe. If you have to talk yourself into a car, its not the car for you.

Lol. Some people love convertibles. And ONLY buy convertibles.

If you don’t want one, simply move on to make yourself happier. It’s true, sometimes, people purchase coupes more frequently.

Hard pass. Average deal at best. Mileage is "high" for a GT500 and being a convertible, less folks want those than a coupe.

I get it’s a vert, but you’re being rediculous saying the mileage is high for the price. Find me a sub 20k mile 2011/12 for $30k anywhere in the country right now.

I purchased a 2010 GT500 with 38k miles and thought the mileage was decent lol, 19k miles is def low for a 2012. The only thing that would worry me is the accident however if you can get the paper work that states it was a minor bumper repair with no air bag deployment, etc. It should make resale much easier. The fact that its a convertible should be a mute point when reselling as its actually a plus for alot of people. Convertibles are very popular and sought after here in FL.

I always get nervous with those low mileage cars unless you can verify.
5k at 1/4 mile at a time is rough
