Hey guys-

Like the title says... If you had 40-45k for one car to drive year round as a daily, and "weekend warrior", what would it be and why?

I would lean towards a '13-14 GT500, but wanted to hear other people's opinions....

Paid that for the Shelby in 11. Thought I wouldn’t mod it but now it’s inching toward a race car. Didn’t know where to end with modding and kept going.

What are your goals with the car and how will it be used?

Same thread as all the rest....

Apologies, I figured daily driver was a basic enough "goal". If "weekend warrior" needs some color added to it.. 1/4 mile once every 6 months or so, occasional roll races, and be able to turn without seeing an actual circuit track.

Mild bolt ons for mods, if any.

13/14 GT500 if you want a sport car feel. (Don't hurt me guys) Or for the same money, you can get a 10 second car that is full of luxury and can corner. Get a 2016 Challenger Hellcat.

Stock for stock, they are about the same performance wise. With DR's, my Shelby could touch my Hellcat. Plus the Hellcat has heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, 900 watt Harman Kardon sound system, plush lether and suede, retractable sunroof, on the fly electromagnetic suspension dampening, on the fly programmable trans shit timing and pressure (for autos) and a ton of other luxury and performance stuff.

All that said... I miss my 13 GT500 and do plan on getting another one. While the Hellcat is badass in its own right, and if I could only have 1 car, that would be it... it's still not a GT500.

MK4 turbo swap, or an original if you get lucky to find one at that price.

Well, I’ve got a ‘13 GT500, but I’ll likely sell and use that $40K-something along with that same amount for a Gen V Viper. Because it looks like sex.

Have you had the chance to drive a Charger Hellcat? Slightly fonder of those, just curious.. Also do they handle as mediocre as the reviews say in comparison to GT500's and ZL1's? Thanks!

03-05 911 turbo comfortable, reliable, and fast with a tune. AWD also lets you run at the dragstrip without having to swap wheels and tires.
