So what are the chances that they will drop the 750 HP LT5 Corvette engine into the ZL1 just after Ford announces their HP figures?

And what are the chances that at the end of that selling season there will be dealers littered with units they can't unload?

Frankly, almost no one, if not no one posting here has the requisite skills to pilot one of these around a road course at 90% or above.....if they had 500hp. All this big dick HP talk is just that, talk. Way back in the day when I was in ten power-sports industry people used to ask me "What 1000cc Superbike should I get/ which one is best?". My response was always, "Buy the one you think looks cool. The chances of you ever having the skills to extract more than 50% of their performance is about zero".

And mine. 50% of the reason that I'm getting the GT500 is the DCT.

and actually probably more like 100% for me. I applaud Ford for being a leader and putting the first (only at this point) two US cars on the market with a performance DCT and not just using the traditional slushbox or Manual. Only wish they would offer it in the GT350R.

It might not be as good, but after ripping off perfect WOT upshifts with no boost loss on the road course, I was sold on DCT.
Porsche PDK and Ferrari 488GTB 7-speed were memorable and this Tremec DCT was Developed in Belgium I believe, so I’ll take the gamble.
The DCT in a 350R would be epic.

If the 350 had a DCT option, i would have fought just as hard to get one of them, and would have one by now. At the time of release when I was persuing that car, too many people had told me to hold off and see what the 500 has, since its geared more toward my type of racing anyway. Although more expensive, Im glad i did

Because my main motivation is going to the road race course I would gladly get a GT350R with a DCT opposed to a GT500. God knows my tire bill would be lower!
What track/s do you run at?

Car stuff? Just the "local" tracks. I'm not driving further than that:

-Grattan
-Gingerman
-Autobahn
-Mid O
-Nelsons
-Putnum Park

When I was racing Superbike I ran all the tracks in the US, some in Europe and a few in Asia.

Gingerman is a great track, been there a few times myself

Gingerman is pretty fun. It's "easy" and the consequences aren't too high. You don't get going very fast there. Hard to pass there though. Not a big deal at a track day, but when racing pretty much every pass is ballsy.

Grattan is slightly closer to me. And IMO a whole lot more fun. It's pretty damn bonkers. If you can ride/drive Grattan, you can ride/drive anywhere.
