Yep, that is the interior on the Sport model. They offer it with red stitching or gray stitching. With Havana Red exterior, the red stitching looks awesome. With my second best color, Santiago Silver, the gray stitching works well. Not sure if I would go with the Sport package or the Prestige package. The Prestige package interior gives you quilted Nappa leather seats.

Wow they should pay you for that write up! Maybe you should consider a career in auto reviews? ;)

...I also like the appearance of the interiors of the Genesis dealership if it looks like the photo you posted.
Actually the photo in my first post is a Genesis stock photo. It isn't my specific dealership. My Hyundai/Genesis dealership is a bit more spartan, but ranks high in customer/service satisfaction. We've been using this dealership for my wife's Hyundai cars for about 10 years now.

Hey everyone. Now as for tuner transfer to new vehicle on same owner is free as long as the device will work on that vehicle. Now the mycal touch is new device which will work on all. If you have the older push button device it will not work on 10 speed transmissions and the new 8 speed in new edge st. Now if you have an older device and it will not work on new vehicle contact me and I will get you a credit towards new device. Thanks and message me or call me at 313-561-5500 my name is Jake

Jake, I was told by Livernois in October that they offered $100.00 off the new touch-screen model for the reason you gave.

I test drove a 2019 Edge ST this afternoon and overall I liked it. Not as much as I liked the G70, but it was nice. Nicer overall than my '16 Edge Sport. My impressions after a rather short drive were that the ST rides a bit stiffer but not so much to make the ride uncomfortable. I noticed the increased stiffness more going in a straight line than in a turn/curve. Acceleration felt stronger than I expected since the ST is only making 20 more horsepower than the Sport (but weighs about 150 lbs. more). I suspect that the reason is more due to the great 8-speed transmission. The upshifts were fast and very crisp with no lag. Ford nailed it with this transmission. My Sport 6-speed pales by comparison, and sometimes seems to try to figure out which gear it wants. The transmission just knows what it needs to do, and does it. The engine note was noticeably deeper than my Sport. More throaty, but not too harsh. I liked it. The seats is the ST, sadly, were not much more firm/supportive than my Sport seats. The seat cushion is still too soft. The side bolsters are a bit stiffer which is good, but overall I was expecting the ST seat to be noticeably better and more supportive. It wasn't.

Like I said, overall I liked the ST. It is better than my Sport, but lacked a bit in the traditional ST performance feel. Would I recommend one? Sure! Would I buy one? I'd consider it, but I'm still leaning towards the G70. I haven't ruled it out because I've got a few months to make the decision.

Next up will be a Challenger Scat Pack in the near future.

Bob - take the Audi Q5 2.0T for a spin and compare it to the edge. Nearly the same price.

Thanks for the recommendation, Jon. A friend of ours has the larger Q7 and she like it a lot. I'd prefer a high performance SUV if I go that route, but I just might take a look at their Q5. Just wish it has more power and performance.

Yes. Big difference.

I looked into it and saw the differences also. I didnt think they had a base model with the 2.0l, I thought they only brought the performance model over. Anyways, they are having like $12k rebates on them, but the Quadrifoglio is still about $79k

Yes, there are a few options out there. JB4, LAP3, Tork Motorsports, etc. Only concern of mine with Tork was not so great tunes in the past, but they have been pretty open about what they are doing with the Stinger and so far, seems decent.

Example:

Edit again: From what I've read on the Stingers for all the tunes (same as the G70) is they are gaining great power, but they haven't done much to reduce the torque management. So the cars are putting up big numbers, running stronger, but not as strong as you'd expect. Still should knock off mid/low 12's though.

Wow that's great power for a DD 4 door sedan without an AMG badge on the back!

..............................

My co-worker just picked one up. Had to special order it to get a manual (he upgraded from a ‘14 Accord Sport with an NA 2.3).
He’s a car guy and we’ve modded his ‘84 GT, so while it’s not big power, the 2.0T really makes it a fun DD. I was impressed with the car especially for the money. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if it responds to a tune like he hopes.

My neighbor has '13 Accord sedan 2.3L w/ manual transmission in their shadow-gray color too....

[Accord 2.0 T] Supposedly with a tune & a couple of mod-parts, the 2.0L turbo would be close to the Civic Type-R version but in a "family" sedan....

Exactly his plan, to follow and see if and what Type R parts overlap. I drove both the 2.3 and this 2.0 and the motor/gearbox really stepped up the game.
The new Accords are impressive, great looks and Honda quality/reliability. Was not expecting the fair price for that much car.

@CobraBob - It just occurred to me, but you should check out the new Acura RDX A-Spec! Not as fast as the Edge ST, but it sure is a looker. I want a black one with red interior! Hondata offers a flashpro tune for it should you need more spunk...

Don't do it. Hyundai dealerships are retarded. Resale is shit. Little to no aftermarket either. I hate my Genesis but it's paid off and we don't want any new payments so I'm pretty much stuck with it for a few more years.

Mine isn't bad to me. You need to hope the S.D. is a decent fellow and having a friendly relationship with him helps too. The guy who runs the dept at the one I go into has a tuned Genesis so he was more than willing and open-armed (if you will) to deal with me knowing my car is tuned. He told me if the engine ever went (even due to the tune) he'd put a new one in under warranty and by god he put a new one in no questions asked.

Been awhile since I visited here regularly, but I thought you loved that car.

The genesis looks amazing!! I miss my 392 superbee charger in the “plum crazy” purple. That thing with catback, intake, and a cold air rolled the F out!
