How do you like the gear shifts after the anti-venom mod? Noticeably smoother? I would expect so. Smart to do it when the opportunity arose.

I actually haven't had a chance to drive it yet because of the rain. But I did the mod to the T-56 in my 01. It shifted so much better with the washers in place. So I'm expecting the same from this one.

Bought a 3.4L crusher for it just waiting on the machine shop to finish the motor and slap this puppy on!

Man that crusher is huge. I’m really thinking about modifying my inlet to take a GT500 TB.

Heading to mineral wells, TX is that you I talked to on the DFW Terminators page?

Ahh yes... I think we did chat on FB. We won’t be too far apart. When you come to the DFW area, holler at me. I’m in the NW corner of DFW not too terribly far from Mineral Wells.

Got bored and polished the driveshaft, while the trans is out. View attachment 1552212IMG_1984 by jwcobra03, on Flickr

Looks fantastic! Were the paint markings still there prior to the polishing? I did a light polish on my 500 mile Mystichrome vert drive shaft:

Will do brother I’d love to see that sweet garage setup and what’s in the stables.

My pristine original radiator sprung a leak. So I’m doing two things:

1) Getting the original repaired
2) Bought a champion aluminum radiator. Similar to the Mishimoto. I’ll keep everyone posted on the figment and we’ll see. I used to work at National Parts Depot and still know a lot of people there, so we all wanted to see what the 3 radiators are like compared to the original. This is what we found:
1) Spectra OEM for 1997-2004 Mustangs has a 1” core with plastic tanks that have no need for the factory Cobra radiator cage. (Factory radiator has a 1.5” core)
2) Spectra OEM for 2003-2004 Cobra.....This one really surprised us. It’s over twice as much in price....and is the exact same radiator. They weren’t happy about this.
3) Champion 2-row Aluminum radiator. I can foresee this having the same “fitment issues” as the Mishimoto. I know the fan will have to have some weatherstripping added to seal the gap. No big deal. I’ll know more toward the end of this week after I pull the lower pulley to perform an accessory belt change and water pump swap (figure I should go ahead while I’ve got a ton of room up front) (installing a Stewart pump, thanks to @jrgoffin’s website recommendation) and alternator swap (3G) (and I have to ge the old battery tray out, the bottom tray hold down bolt is rusted and stripped).

The original radiator can hopefully be fixed and if the champion fits, I’ll just store the OEM radiator but if the Champion requires too much to move, then I’ll put the OEM back in because I’ve never had an issue with it.

I’ve been checking classifieds in the area and didn’t see that coupe come up. I’m jealous! As we both know...slim pickings in Canada

I bought it of a friend thats why never seen it listed. Its slim picking for terminators here and finding a low km is almost impossible now days. Had to scoop this up when my buddy was thinking of selling. It still smells new inside.

So while the radiator is out (shop repaired it and said a tube actually started leaking) I’ve decided to replace a bunch of maintenance items.

So things I’ll be working on over the next week:
IW balancer (thanks SVT_Troy), New tensioners with metco pulleys, new accessory belt, new blower belt, Stewart water pump, 3g alternator, new crossover tube plug, new JLt radiator cover, new radiator hoses....think that’s everything. Also, got these new floor mats. Dark charcoal with 93 style red cobra name badge. Really had ass. Now available at National Parts Depot :)

She left the garage for the first time in over 2 years! Finally found a metal shop with a down-to-earth fabricator that wasn't a prima donna. Custom intercooler pipes are being made in 3" and 3.5" plus a nifty coolant tee to run a bypass line and reservoir line to the lower hose. All that's left is some exhaust and coolant system work and she'll finally be ready for tuning.
