Hey guys. For the people running big blowers what Throttle body do you have, what intake do you have and what air filter? I am trying to figure out a Better CAI for my 3.6LC with a healthy amount of boost.

This is what I have now:

Twin 75mm KB TB, Gimme 5 intake tube, JLT heat shield and S&B Powerstack cone filter. I did it that way because I didn't like how open the Gimme 5 was to underhood heat (the heat shield doesn't seal to the hood). After driving it for awhile with both setups, I can't say I feel a difference either way.

Do you know which S&B Powerstack? As you can see mine is a version of the Gimmie 5 and I hate how exposed to engine bay also.

Godstang, I ordered it directly from S&B. In hindsight...I'm not sure the JLT shield makes much of a difference. I look at my IAT1s and when you are in traffic, inevitably they creep up just like they did with the Gimme 5 setup. I think the bastardized version is easier on the eyes, so I am running it that way.

If you want the JLT shield, Lethal Performance sells it separate for 55 bucks I think.

I never get around to reading the posts you type. I always wonder if you have a handlebar moustache.

Hahahaha! No, I just like to embody the Louisiana Mustang-driving redneck stereotype. I work in an office, shave clean, and wear khakis like Jake from State Farm.

Thanks for the info. You are running the R1274 which is one of the ones I was looking at a long with R1302. I am worried the metal Gimme 5 is bringing in extra heat. My problem is I am an 03 Cobra with a GT500 3.6L. I don’t know if the shield would work on my car. I have called vendors and they don’t want to be bothered.

My gimme 5 had a heat shield that came with it, but it kinda only covers the bottom and side of the filter. Are you running that same shield?

Ahh, ok. I hear what you're saying then. Well, if you need me to measure anything on mine, let me know. I had thought about fabbing something, but I wanted it to look professional. Did you talk to KB tech support? Mike is always helpful...he might have a suggestion.

I’ve got a hybrid that works better than anything I’ve used before. Half Ford GT and half JLT. Basically using the JLT for a MAF housing and the Ford GT for a perfect seal on the KB Mono. And 4.7KB.

Nice setup. Can't argue with a 6 speed daily driver in the 8's. Where'd you get the heat shield and how well does it work?

It’s the Kenne Bell shield that I got when I upgraded from the 3.6 to the 4.7. I had to cut it a lil bit but it seems to work awesome. Of course I have a cowl hood and I cut and reinstalled the factory vents but my intake 2’s stay pretty manageable in warm weather, stop and go driving.

KB 3.6 here. I was going to run the 150 JLT but ended up going with KBs set up. TB is KBs big twin. I still have the JLT NIB - shoot me a PM if interested.
