Australians love that car, you should ask them. By the time they are done paying taxes, transportation and right hand conversion they have invested over $200k...for a silly dodge.
So far, no bites on the GT500. Germany loves mustangs though...350Rs.
I dunno man, if they lie about DA.. what else are they lying about?

And he ran 9.80 at Houston with a -1550 DA. Slightly better time but 2mph slower than Atco. Guess that 20mph headwind did its job.

I’ve ran 10.1@141 with “756whp” (more like 675whp) at 5000ft with like 4500da iirc in 2010 with a car that had a full interior, 18” chrome wheels 275/315, and subs in the trunk... pump gas, lowered suspension, street car as can be.
What is so special about a factory 10 second car that can’t even hero run a 9.65 in private hands in -1500da that has a warranty but isn’t able to keep its diff from breaking when it’s drag raced on the drag prep stuff it can be bought with but if you put a brace in to try and save the diff they void your warranty?

The gt500 is a 10 second car that can do everything else you expect of an $80k car like run on pump gas and tackle a twisty canyon.
Venom killed the demon. Your have to love dodge (that’s fine), drink coolaid (not my cup of tea), or just love the bravado (that’s fine) to buy a demon over a gt500 knowing all that.

and also caught lying.. and we all know how far ego/internet racers will go for fame.
I wouldn’t go as far as accusing him of lying. Maybe the DA was higher at an earlier time and he stuck with it. We all know the DA can drastically change through out the day. You posted bad info about the fastest demon at Atco and no one jumped on your neck or called you a liar. We the info we have now, DA is irrelevant at this point. He ran the same times at a lower MPH at a much better DA...so there’s that.
at no point in the day was the DA above +28ft, which is still less than actual ft above seal level of atco. The weather station is 4 miles away in cherryhill, which, as far as the last 20 years of my own data collection at atco, is within a few ft of the weather station/dragtimes data. he purposely posted false information, which any sane person in racing means he lied. so no logical person could conclude that he would NOT lie again on small matters again, aka "stock" or any other "omitted" modifications, or as Ill refer to them from now on in reference to the Demon crowd "stockifications". His name sounds ultra-familiar as well. Im going to dive deeper into this.
This is also the guy that has lightweight braille battery and aftermarket wheels and still claims "stock", yes?
Im just gathering a full list of "stockifications" I (+3 friends) can do to the 500 when it arrives and I/we hit atco or mir or cecil in -4500 DA with $500 of glue, to claim the record for fastest STOCK warrantied street car
I never posted in absolutes, i said the fastest I could find.
.03 difference, and 2 mph, in better DA tells us he lied about something we havent caught yet... well, to those of us that know racing anyway
Why are all you guys comparing the 2020 GT500 to a Demon ? More correct comparison would be the 2019 Hellcat Redeye with 797 HP on 91 octane and in widebody configuration it's supposed to run high 10s on street tires and mid 10s on drag radials. Demon was a purpose built street legal drag car, that isn't even in production anymore.

Not the same guy, that’s Ron. The only factory one seater that went 9.71 in Houston and 9.78 at el Famoso in California.
You can do whatever you want with the 500, as long as all other 500 owners are in. That’s the case with the Demon community. They understand what dodge did and how they did it and are trying to duplicated. What they are doing has nothing to do with other cars, just Demons. I don’t understand why a few people get all pissed at what they are doing.
Ah yes, but 0 of those 3 went 140 AND 9.65.

Its amazing no numbers for the GT500 have been released. 10.8@127 is being thrown around, yet with a little twist here and there some of you are saying it’ll run a 9.9@140. Oh. And drag a demon.

Anything that increases power is a mod. Obviously.
