I’m on the fense on which car to buy. I am looking at a 2015 Roush Stage 3 and a 2017 GT350. I would just buy the GT350 but all of the oil and reliability issues have made me second guess that decision. I’m going to use the car as a weekend summer car that will get a few track nights per year. I am just a novice track driver so I don’t need to be the fastest person on the track. It’s hard to find much info on the Roush Stage 3 as far as how well it handles with the Roush single coil suspension upgrade. I also can’t find much on how durable the supercharged engine is and what the reliability would be like on the Roush. I know it will not be planted like the GT350 but I would have to think it’s better than the GT PP1, right? BTW, I also have the Boss 302 on my list.

Save some money and just buy the Boss and throw a procharger on it. Second choice would be the GT350, Roush wouldn’t even be on the list.

As a novice on track dont worry about what has better susp. tech, just worry about brakes and tires and you'll have fun in any mustang. Id go for the roush as the power will be more fun as a majority weekend cruiser

Roush?

Haha....hahaha.....BWAHAHAHAHHAAAAAHAHAHAAA!

Ha.

No.

^^^How I feel about the GT350.

Honestly, I like the above comment on Boss 302 and some boost. That would be fun as hell.

@tonesRS3 id say this is more offensive than my italian comment right? :D
LMFAO :D
Roush blowers are no joke. Either the 2300 or 2650. PTB and PBD killed it with the Roush blowers. Just a few examples,.........

The factory brakes on the GT350 are great right out of the box. Suspension is good too. Tires are good street and track as well. More HP might be nice but could cause issues for the inexperienced.

I'm surprised anyone wastes money on a Roush GT. Just get the GT and do a blower kit if thats what you want.

Roush suspension is sweet and very well done, but it will not turn in like a GT350. I know the time Roush put into the suspension on the Stage 3 for 2015 and it was huge. I beleive the supercharged engines are also very reliable if tuned properly.

If track is in the equation, it is an easy decision for me as the GT350 is amazing on track. The 2015 Stage 3 cars have dropped enough in price they are very tempting. The Stage 3 cars are much more than stickers and flares. How the heck could you go wrong with a Boss 302. Very fun shopping and enjoy!

If you track the car and want new, GT350.

Boss 302 School Bus Yellow or Grabber Blue is probably your best bet, get full exhaust and you'll forget about the GT350. The boss is cheap right now and you can build it to your liking, it will also be the lighest of the bunch.
If a base (with weight reduction) s197 5.0 can weigh 34xxlbs, you can get the boss to that weight too. remove rear seat, full exhaust, full suspension, two piece rotors and lighter wheels. Still be under the price of the GT350 or roush.

What suspension work does Roush do? Based on the website its just a set of coilovers.

They have two different setups and one is coil over that is adjustable and the other is modified struts etc. Struts, springs and sway-bars are changed on the stage 3 cars. I know the engineer who designed this suspension and worked on spring rates and feel and he is very good. They take great pride in the feel of these cars and do a great job. The coil over suspension can be very harsh, it was too harsh for my wife!

Enjoy your search and keep us updated on your thinking.

Coilovers typically replace the struts and springs, so not sure what you mean by "modified struts". And a sway bar is a 30 minute bolton in most applications. Not doubting their packages are an improvement over stock, but its still just a GT with few boltons. Not comparable to a GT350 at all.
