Whats up everyone. Anyone else in here build a 5.4 dohc for the sn95 chassis? Working in my swap currently, shooting for 400rwhp N/A, through a tr3650

I have a buttload of pictures but figured i would get a thread started first before posting

Its a BOSS 290 intake, had to get it imported from Australia. Its about as close to a 2000 Cobra R intake that you can get. (The 75mm round t/b opening us getting hacked off, for a dual blade t/b to go on)

I'll update this thread here in a bit with a lot of pictures

The car was in pretty bad condition when i got it. Took quite a while to fix all of this mess.

(Yes car used to be LS swapped....i UN-swaped it, back to a ford motor)

Next up, the trunk. Went ahead and repaired that pocket of rust, re-upholstered the trunk carpet as well as added a upholstered cover for the trunk lid. Next up, installed a LED strip for much better visability at night

Since i was going with the gigantic 5.4 DOHC, I decided i wanted as much free room as i possibly could get so i opted to install a AJE tubular k member as well as 1/2" k member spacers. While i was there, i picked up a set of front cobra/mach/bullitt brakes. I do still need to delete the ABS block and re route the lines.

I had originally picked up a suoer low mileage 4.6 2v....the plan was to just turn this car into a nice daily driver, shortly after i picked up a damaged 01' bullitt motor to get the intake setup off of......after having to deal with repairing soooo many issues with the car, i was irritated with it and chose to turn it into a much more powerful toy. Sold both 2v's and started the hunt for a 5.4.....hit up my local junk yard and spent 8hrs pulling the motor by myself only to get it home to find out it was trashed, luckily the block is salvageable, and the crank is a good forged piece.

The heads were garbage, cams, basically everything else was junk.

Lesson learned, junkyards are crooks

Thanks a lot Austin Wrench a Part.

Did u finish your build? Im in the middle of the same one sort of. (Forced ind.) Today i attempted pacesetter long tubes and failed miserably....drivers side fit....but not the pass. side. Figured I'd persuade it in with a ....RIP header. My heart was set on long tubes but if the only answer is manifolds than i guess. Do you of any headers that will fit with our swap? P.s. i also ran 3/4in spacers and a tubular k member.
