M-6009-A46SC Ford Motorsport Aluminator short block for sale. Brand new fresh from the machine shop but better than new as bearings, rings and main bolts have been upgraded along with piston skirts coated.
Long story short on history of the engine. Original owner popped a head gasket on the stock engine at 110k, so he opted to replace the short block and heads with new.
I got the car and this Aluminator engine only had 10k on it, but the engine had blow by and low compression when tested, appears the cylinders were washed due to a bad tune or possibly poor break in. Everything looked like brand new when machine shop tore down so this was the only explanation (heads checked out fine and are on the car now).
As the saying goes, a good machine shop is not cheap and takes a long time, so while waiting around for this I ended up buying another short block so I could get my car back together last year.
I just picked this up now and it’s ready to rock for someone else’s build or winter project.
Engine is the same as it came from Ford Motorsport (Edit to add info: Kellogg crank, Manley rods and Mahle pistons, which were an upgrade over the factory 03-04 Cobra Zollners)with the following upgrades performed:
-Line bored and honed
-Clevite H-Series performance steel backed bearings
-Total Seal AP stainless file fit rings
-Line2Line coated piston skirts
-ARP main studs
Have receipts as well as build sheet.
Can ship via Fastenal
