Can anyone help me with a tune?
I've swapped a manual Into my formerly auto and had a reputable tuner do all the appropriate changes in the tune. I took care of all hardware swap and sensor tricking and it runs amazingly.
Now the issue. I have ordered sct advantage pro racer and Intend on taking over the tuning as mail order tunes are a headache and I am wanting to get a little more picky on the engine side of things. Plus I change stuff all the time out of bordem. Problem is my tuner won't help out with what needs to be changed in the trans file nor will he share the file that allows me to tweak his file. I am hoping one of you can throw me some pointers?
Before the flames of "you shouldn't be tuning on a car if you don't know how" starts please understand I am going at this with the humble willingness of learning. Just never tuned for a trans swap in this direction.

Pm me if you have done this. I'd be happy to compensate for your time.

Awesome. As soon as this time machine thing happens, I'll go return all this stuff and do exactly that.
Thanks for the advice!

Well that was a pretty smart ass response to someone trying to help. Good luck bud. Didn't know SCT doesn't allow refunds on a product you have ordered.

If you knew me you would picture a fat bald guy saying that while laughing at his own mistake of buying the wrong stuff. Sorry if your feelings are hurt. Wasn't my intention. I said thank you for the advice and I meant it.

I've had the sctx4 for years. Cannot return it. Car has been tuned using it by my mail order tuner. I just recently bought advantage 3. I cannot return the sctx4 as it is used. I cannot return the software as it is software and sct will not return software.

I thought you were serious. No hurt feelings. Sarcasm is difficult to decipher intent online.

I assumed by your post you just ordered the software.

I still think hptuners is your best way to go at this point. SCt is limiting a lot of controls to end users atm and with hpt you could start with your current file and build from there. I believe the interfaces are like $500 and that is everything you need to tune the car.

Indeed! The internet was supposed to connect people. I believe it worked quantity over quality of the connections.

if you want, after you get the file sucked out with hpt shoot it over to me

its pretty tedious and extremely time consuming but I can go through all the changes in the tune comparing to stock and apply them to a clean stock file that you can then tune as you wish.

Unfortunately there's no way around the update for PRP. I went to do something a couple weeks ago and it wouldn't even open until I updated. But even after the update I still have access to turn off the rear O2's and EGR. The only thing I lost was what was under OBD II. No biggie as I hadn't had it for long.

if u have an 03/04 cobra you should really ditch sct and use tunerpro to do realtime tuning while the engine is running using a moates quarterhorse
