The law is going to be more unforgiving this year, expect heavy handed enforcement. Thanks to a news station/reporter saying the police weren’t doing enough to stop the racing.
I really enjoy all the meets all over town and the shop meetups.

I live by 4 cops and 3 of them patrol Houston and Katy which is where all the races take place, and like stated above they will be looking out this year, I was told not to attend but I haven't been in years and won't be going this year either. So if you are going be careful

If you’re caught racing you will go to jail and your car to car jail. Please do not participate in any street racing. Many of these races reach speeds anywhere from 150 all the way to 200. In a city of millions of people and roads not built for high speed, that’s a recipe for disaster. It’s not worth it

I wouldn't doubt the state troopers won't be out with one of their choppers again.

Guys get popped every year.

If anyone wants to do it and gets caught. We will definitely clown their ass in a manner befitting of SVTP.

I'd be worried about undercovers rolling around in someone's repo'ed car, if it is supposed to be that bad this year.

My neighbor has only come home twice in his marked unit, every day he comes home its in a black Ram, black Tahoe, or a basic looking car. His truck never leaves the house pretty much so you know they are using normal looking car for stuff all the time, plus they have ghost units here, marked units with ghost lettering which you won't see until you are right up on it and you see the reflection of the markings.

Here in Phoenix, Ive seen Arizona Highway Patrol pull people over in repo cars all the time. Hell, they used a work truck with a ladder rack w/ladder one week. Not going to lie, i lol'ed pretty hard at that one.

I love watching the videos from TX2K, but Id never have the stones to participate if I knew cops were actively trying to bust me and everyone racing.

This is why I said watch. Plus I have nothing fast enough to play in.

Add in that I've outgrown participating in this kind of stuff.

This. I personally have seen a repo'd Black amg with tints and hidden lights in the clear lake Webster area south east of Houston. That car tried to bait my buddy in his gt500 at a stop light last year by revving the engine. He's an old guy like me so he didn't bite.
I'm sure there are more in Houston city limits
