Depends on personality and if they even care about appearances.

If I was his age and had $87 Billion, I would roll up in an 86 Corolla. Why, because almost no one in the world could out flex me if I felt like trying.

Then again, I'd also have a midget follow me with a tray of cocaine everywhere, and King Budget on a dog leash with a muzzle.

LMFAO!!!

That is where other brands really seem to differentiate from Ford. I was getting a company CTS serviced, oil change and it was taking longer than expected, they offered me a loaner without me even asking. I was blown away and not expecting that.

Yeah, I was more than a little put off by this. I assumed they would accommodate my request, but said no...and it is under warranty! LOL

Ironically I’m reading this thread while having the wife’s Dodge serviced (oil change and tire rotation). I swear, Dodge overcharges for these services. I swear I could get an oil change for $30 and rotation for $10 with a Honda, but Dodge dealers charge $60 for oil change alone!! Wtf!?! No coupons either. Ugh!

On a side note, had to have my manifold replaced under warranty on my GT in November. Service was great, but they had to wait for the parts and it took them some time to figure out the issue. They did not offer a loaner. It’s just a 2016 GT PP so I guess it’s not a nice enough car to give me a loaner for 4 days? Ugh!

Btw, service at this Dodge dealership is really good. I’ve had good luck. Honda dealer near me is shit with their service. Glad I don’t own one any more. LOL

We bought our Durango with an extended bumper-to-bumper warranty that includes maintenance. We had the same on our 2014 and we've only had to pay for oil changes for our Durangos a handful of times (3yr maintenance).

Our dealership also has a deal with Uber where whenever it's time for an oil change or some other service work, they call you an Uber to go either take you home or wherever and they send another one when your car's ready to be picked up.

Our Mazda dealership has a deal with a nearby Enterprise Rent-A-Car for work that requires multi-days and a dedicated shuttle vehicle and driver for one-day work.

The Audi dealership sends us home with a new Audi as a loaner, probably figuring out that we'd like it so much that we'd buy one. (I'm actually looking at S5/RS5's this summer).

I know how you feel. Dealing with Hyundai dealershits for oil changes and routine stuff on my GC is infuriating. There's (3) within 10-15min drive from my apt or work, and I've used all three and each of them have a very tenuous grasp on how a service center should work. I've waited 45min one time to simply do a drop off on a Saturday for an oil change WITH APPOINTMENT. I finally left and did a nice meaty burnout leaving. That shouldn't happen, I should be walking in, checking my car in and out in 5-10min. Another one the service bays arent even at the dealership, you check in at the dealer (which used to be a glorified bank) in a portable out back and they drive your car around the corner to some clandestine service center to work on it.

On the flipside, we take our fusion to the Ford dealer around the corner for stuff, and its always been great. Make an appointment, there's a guy with a tablet walking around checking cars in, and I'm in and out in under 5min. It was a big reason why we replaced our Fusion with only another Fusion. The above scenario almost made me instantly go to said Ford dealer and trade in for whatever FoST/FiST they had on the lot at that time, even if it was a wash or putting neg equity on it.
lmao, sounds a lot like Hyundai Escondido... i took my GT500 to Escondido Ford for a few times, always had a great experience there.

I have to agree with you, been a ford fan all my life and I earlier this year I decided to make the career switch to ford, I couldn't believe how badly the service department was. part of it was the fault of the dealer but part of it was Ford as a company too. I ended up leaving after 6 months, I would have left earlier had my current job opened sooner. I hated working for them and really not sure if I want to purchase another ford product. The help the company provided was next to none with most issues being swept under the rug. I even had a meeting with our Ford rep who wanted to know how the service could be improved, then gave excuses after all my suggestions and never made any changes.

It might be an American car company thing. I worked for a Chevrolet dealership shortly and I really hated the way it was run from the top down. Corporate all the way down to dealer level. Just a lot of things that were so asinine I couldn't believe it
