Haven't been outside yet, but I am excited to use the free snowblower I got.

I wish it would snow here. Pretty much bare ground. If I have to deal with the cold temps, I want snow to play in. Cold weather with no snow is just being mean.

Hmmm....

So, maybe they didn't lie this time. Got about 4" on the ground this morning. Expecting another 3 - 5" today. Guess I'll stay inside and watch some football until it's time to shovel.

This really isn't that cold for us, I'll take it. Beats the hell out of what we had during the propane price explosion winter. I told the wife if the next winter was like that we were looking for a place down South Texas way.

Tried the snowblower for the first time and felt like I was cheating!

I agree, it's been pretty mild this Winter. But if it's cold enough for snow, then I want snow. And a lot of it.

I'm headed up to Fifty Lakes Thursday for sledding. Supposed to be -10 to -13 Friday and Saturday mornings?

Couple of arctic fronts dropping us more toward seasonable.

Along with power outages. I've been through more than a few myself. No, bro, you really don't want an ice storm. Tranquil to the eye, but potentially devastating to the area hit.

On a brighter note, no snow now nor in the long term forecast. And that's just fine with me. I'd love it if my Ariens snowblower sits in my garage all winter unused. Definitely.
I don't mind the power outages they bring. It becomes an at home camping trip. No TV, electrical noise, etc. I can play my acoustic guitar, fire up the grill, smoker, or propane camp stove. I have lanterns, and a propane heater that are all waiting.

Ice storms here are rare. It has been about 10 years since our last one. The power was out for about two weeks.

Lol those are snow flurries compared to what we usually get here in the northeast.

Try getting 2-3 FEET in one storm with 60mph winds creating drifts 10 feet tall.

Granted, this winter has been mild here in Massachusetts, and now we have a ridge of high pressure pushing this storm out to sea below us. And the following week looks clear too.

I’ve only plowed twice this winter, one storm was 8 inches, the second was 3 inches.
