Sorry to hijack your turbo build thread, but one more question on your 3.4 setup...you mentioned that your downstream air temps weren't as high as some might expect. What were they to be exact both cruising your car around in traffic and also staging before a pass and then right after? Thanks and again, sorry to hijack.

Unfortunately I very rarely datalogged my setup unless I was tuning it. From what I remember 155* was the hottest I ever had my iat2's at and that was after driving home from the track and doing a highway pull. I did have a 7gallon trunk tank but still stock intercooler core. Like I said in my original post tho, the iat's weren't bad enough to cause horsepower loss. Doesn't matter what the data says when you run 3 times back to back without so much as popping the hood, and only lose 1mph there's not much of a power loss.

Not to mention, there was another 3.4 Crusher/Auto/E85 car there that didn't even have a trunk tank. Just an expansion tank up front I believe. Still same consistency, track times and no major setbacks from IAT2. Ctgreddy was kind enough to do a couple highway pulls on the way to the track as well. Thing was a BLAST! Only time his car was on the trailer was to make the long haul from Michigan down to GA. After that, it was a daily driver/racecar. Until it was time to pack up and head home.

I swear I don't remember anyone ever having heat issues with a 3.4L. Maybe time to time from mechanical issues but never an over abundance of correctly setup 3.4Ls that were overheating. Is this one of those things where one person had the issue and it turned into everyone having the issue.

Alot of it seems to be regurgitated forum talk...or something someone's tuner said. The 3.4 owners I have spoken with haven't reported any heat issues...

Gotcha and thanks for the info. To clarify, I only asked because I was curious what his temps were. I wasn't suggesting that I have the same blower and experienced radically high IAT2's or anyone else for that matter with that blower. To be honest, I was only curious because I still run the tried and true KB 2.2 pullied for 20-21 psi on e85, basically spun beyond it's design parameters but still makes the power albeit with some more heat no doubt. I know what kinda IAT's it's making at that point. So yeah I just wanted to see the comparison.
