A co-worker who has a '18 LT1 Camaro FBO/nitrous and his wife just got a Singer. Told me the Stinger launches like a beast and he probably wouldn't reel it in till the end of the quarter mile.

your friend must drive like shit...an FBO, Nitrous Camaro should be well into the 10.x range. A kia stinger gt is a 13 second car.

The Kia Stinger is impressive, for sure, but I'm drooling over its cousin, the Genesis G70 3.3T Sport. Motor Trend's COTY. And slightly less expensive than a loaded Stinger GT2.

The Stinger GT (3.3L) is not cheap. The top GT2 (AWD) trim is $54,120 with the optional trunk mat, wheel locks and cargo net. Serious money.

I have been eyeing stingers since I saw that video a couple of months ago. With a tune and intake they put out 450 who. A poor man's RS7. I did not know about the genesis, I will have to check it out.

The Stinger is a great car. Its great looking and a ton of fun to drive. I hope some of you had the chance to do the Kia Stinger Experience when it was touring. If not you basically got to drive as hard as you could (instructor riding shotgun) around a course set up in a parking lot (think almost like autocross) in a bmw, porsche or audi. Then you did the course again in the stinger, then you did the course again riding shotgun while the instructor drove. Before this was a brief presentation of the car and features and afterwards you got a box with some free gifts in it. What a way to show off a car, you got to see what it could really do best of all it was free and just a ton of fun.

I would never drive a Korean car.
Why do they still get developing nation status and dump their products on us?
How can anyone compete with that?

The build quality in their vehicles is easily on par or higher than a lot of the other major brands. They have completely closed the gap on any perceived differences between their vehicles and the American and Japanese.

Lol, dump their products? Id gladly take South Korean products over canadian products.
I'd be happy with an LG OLED TV, and love my Samsung SSD drives. Also love my Note 9.

My wife is on her 2nd Optima and she loves the car. The first one was a 2014 and the second is a 2018. They have improved the 18 in terms of quality of ride and road/interior noise. Her last car was a 2014 BMW 335I. I am happy/she is happy!!!

If you can, read the Motor Trend COTY article in the last issue. I had not heard of the G70 either. But that article showed me that this sedan is the absolute real deal. BETTER than the BMW 3 Series in every area. That got my attention. Slam dunk! Here's the online version of the MT COTY article.
Genesis G70 is the 2019 MotorTrend Car of the Year - Motor Trend

Hey @TERMN8U, you should read the article, too. You see, Genesis is a Korean brand. Yep, the Genesis is Korean. And the G70 spanked the venerable BMW 3 Series in every area. It's a better car! The Genesis arm of Hyundai is stacked with automotive top management talent lured away from companies like BMW. After reading the article (even better, test drive a G70), do you still say you'd never drive a Korean brand?

The Kia Stinger is the real deal. But I would rather buy a Genesis G70 over the Kia Stinger with both about the same price.
