OP says he is interested in sub $100K used R8’s and people say buy a 720S...wat?
People said sell off his Audi and his vette and just spend the extra. OP seems to have no qualms with spending the coin to get what he wants so in this case it’s likely a solid selection.

The 720s would likely be the best current available choice for what he seems to want out of a car.

I'd keep the RS7 as I have 2 kids and need a back seat. It's no slouch either. The R8 is cool and if my needs didnt push me to keep the RS7, I'd definitely consider the R8. You cant go wrong with either honestly.
It would be hard to get me out of the RS7 if I already had it too.

A used RS7 (IIRC he paid 70ish) and a used C7Z (could sell for 70-80ish) doesn’t come anywhere near a 720S, easily $150K short.

Did you miss the part where I said pay the difference? Sure it’s a ton of money difference but it’s still a viable suggestion. The worse case is the op says nope lol.

But really I doubt op would be happy with an R8 unless he’s looking for something that will grab more attention. For me personally my go to in the 100k price point is a gen V viper

Well in that line of thinking I vote OP goes Agera RS1.

I mean seriously, he is talking about getting rid of the RS7 to get the R8, so I would be inclined to think shelling out an extra $150K isn’t really in this equation.

Personally, the RS7 would be perfect DD car for me, especially with the APR tune as you have it. And as much as I like the R8, I'd have to up the budget a little more and grab a used 458 Italia.

If I had ~100k to spend on a car that I also wanna daily, I’d go with a low mileage Porsche 911.1 GTS and add an IPE exhaust! Check it out.

If you have a vette, I wouldn’t trade the rs7 for another two seater that doesn’t handle as well as the vette and is slower than both the vette and rs7. There’s something to be said about having a fast four door. If you want something that’s going to be faster than the rs7, have 4 doors, and handle much better than the rs7, get the Mercedes amg gt63s when it comes out. With a tune, that car is going to be an absolute monster. Only gripe I have about the rs7 is handling and the discomfort of 21” wheels. Not much to complain about

HA HAAAAAAAAAAA
I know, right?!?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression the R8 is faster than the A7? (I know OP
s A7 is modded.) Maybe I prefer the look of the 2 door coupe more so than the sedan? Actually, I do. lol

Op has an rs7. Simple APR tune and race gas gives you 750hp/800tq. Even on 93 octane these can be mid 10 second cars. Most people don’t know this, which is half the allure of owning a car like this. Styling is subjective, so you either like the way it looks or you don’t. It is not meant to be a flashy car

Very true sir. OP has a killer A7. APR or Iroz is the way to go with those cars.
That's why I say go R8, because of the styling.

he HAD an a7, when it was in the audi dealer for service they loaned him an RS7. Game over, he got the RS7.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh,......I recall now. lol
Yeah, the RS7 is balls. Just keep that as the daily as it's modded with APR stuff and he already as the killer "fun" car too.
Win-win!
