Make damn sure you can buy her back before taking money from insurance.
And demand to see what they use as example cars when determining value.

Totaled out wife's 330xi and used 325i cars to determine value. Wouldn't let us buy her back..then attempted to sell to others as rebuiltable car...but I was watching for the vin on line and caught them..

Best Foxbody ever..hate seeing this

Any luck with getting her back together? How did you make out with your insurance company?

Yes, she is at the shop now. I took it to a restorations shop instead of a standard body shop and they are doing up right. It took a while for me to coordinate things but just this week they straigtened the frame which pulled the quarter panel straight. Last I checked, they had the hatch off the donor car on and fitting correctly and were drilling out a thousand spot welds to replace the tail light panel. I'll post some pics once they get it done.

We are getting there. Its one of those things where the carpet came out for when they put it on the frame machine. We wound up pulling all the seats and console etc so then I ordered new carpet and some interior pieces. Just today I picked up the bumper at the grayhound station that I think we are going to use. The rest of the car is painted. I bought some aftermarket tail lamp assemblies. I found a right side nos genuine Ford cobra lens on ebay and got it. I would still like to get a nos left lens eventually. The interior plastic panels got yanked out of place when it was hit and finding opal replacement that match have been a bit of challenge. Its finally coming together so I don't think its going to be much longer and it will be whole and back on the road.

I do need to get some pics. The bodywork and paint is complete and it looks sharp. Because the interior panels were damaged by the ingress of impact, it took some time to nail down suitable game plan. Opal gray replacements from your favorite part supplier does not match my 93 Cobra opal gray. Vinyl/Plastic dye doesn't come close either. Every used panel I could find anywhere at any price wasn't any better as my damaged originals. The shop I am using is a restoration shop so they have people that can restore the originals and they did. We still have a few thing left on her but its close to done.

Wow, your restoration shop did a really great job on your Cobra. I can see why you're really pleased. Any interior shots?

So did your insurance pay for the repairs? I'm curious how accountable the uninsured driver was made to be?

Awesome! I think it's great you took the time to do it right. I think most people would have cut their losses and went and fount another........myself included!

Ya, I'd love to see how they did the interior, I'm sure they have some tricks up their sleeves.
