Hey guys,
I'm currently building my Forged 4.6 Iron block its going to be 10.1 comp.
question I have is I was thinking on KB or Whipple for 800-900 RWHP. I think I messed up on comp.
I know it will be great for Turbo set-up please give me advise. Will be Built auto and AC ect., thinking E85 for sure for numbers I want.

Thank you,

Sean

What iron block? I have a Cobra iron block in mine and read a LOT of supercharged/manual trans people cracking cylinders in them with as little as 500hp while turbo/autos seem to be more gentle on them. Mine makes over 900hp and as a street car it will probably last but as a race only car probably not. Since yours is not at least a Teksid you should probably go turbo.

Since the only stated goal is to make Xxx hp on a dyno, then I would agree with going turbo. While you’re at it, go with a manual trans as it will dyno higher than the auto.

Now if you have other goals besides making xxx hp on a dyno, a different route/combo may be more desirable but we’d need to hear those goals/uses for the car...
