Usually when I detail the car, I’ll do the traditional two step correction with a compound and polish and top it with a wax. I’ve used Meguires “Ultimate” series of products and they do surprisingly well. While I’ve always had great results this way, I wanted to try something a little less aggressive. Going into it, I tempered my expectations and told myself “the car will not be perfect” so that way I wasn’t let down with the results.

Anyways, I’m very happy with the finished product! My procedure was as follows:

- Pressure wash all the lose stuff off
- Foam cannon with Purple Power RV & Boat wash
- Contact wash with the same purple power
- Chemical decon with Meguires pH neutral, color changing wheel cleaner and CarPro TarX
- Mechanical decon with Meguires yellow clay
- Wipe down with 10% IPA solution
- Polish with CarPro Essence Xtreme Gloss used with Lake Country 5.5” and 3” White foam polishing pads (using a harbor freight DA currently, will definitely be upgrading this soon)
- Wipe down with 10% IPA solution
- Protect with CarPro Reload

The combo of the white polishing pad and Essence did exactly what I wanted this go-round which was remove swirls and love marks while also enhancing depth and shine. There are still some light defects in some areas that I’ll give attention to next time with a 3 step correction. But I must say, Kona Blue is so nice when it’s clean

Car looks great! I used Essence around Thanksgiving on my car and that stuff is amazing. You shouldn't need to do an IPA wipedown unless you just want to. It's designed so you can use it, then top it with whatever LSP of your choice.

Thank you! Yeah, I knew I didn’t need a wipe down for the actual bond but it made it a little easier to check my work with the poor lighting I had

Very nice.

I too fully detailed my car last week, all by hand, last using

McKee's 37 360 Corrects, Cleans, Seals 360 corrects, cleans, and seals auto paint! 360 is more than a cleaner wax, its a swirl remover, polish, and

Results were fantastic- swirls gone, paint was deep and polished, w/a very nice glossy smooth finish. I'm sold on this stuff and have tossed all my other cleaners/waxes/sealants. I can highly recommend this product although I cannot yet attest to it's long term durability.
